  1. Going a step further, I'd imagine GM was nice and gave it a more mild shift profile to lengthen it's life at the hands of renters (those are electronically controled, right?). Extra insurance: $80/day?
  2. Can't happen. The things you need to do to make it run in a street'able manner (I.E. not followed by a truckload of engineers) would basically make it a waste of money. You'd be better off starting with a BMW M3 V8 and tuning up, than an F1 V8 and tuning down.
  3. It's not what you drive, but how you drive it. A prius only gets 17mpg if you drive it hard. You git, it's because nobody uses automatic weapons. Give everyone an oozie and have them use it daily, see what that does to your statistic. Lastly, you want this car? Check your TA PMs.
  4. As much as you hate the WRX, maintaining a CrashHawk would kill you.
  5. Everyone is middle of the road, unless they're mad.
  6. ... there's seriously a Hertz edition vette? Why would I rent a vette that screams I'M A RENTAL!!!!!"?
  7. Wrong, people are people and are generally not idiots. Don't label them because they agree with you on something that makes sense. It gets bad when they decide to join groups like "conservative" and "liberal". The collective IQ of any group goes down as it's population goes up.
  8. Holy shit that's Magnus Pyke! SCIENCE!
  9. Mercedes has an Eaton for you! AKA Der Kompressor. IIRC the Mazda Millenia uses a compact unit, too. Given your motor and what you're doing, I would be avoiding roots blowers all together. Too much parasitic loss, you'll be loosing 30% of everything you make. See if you can find a small centrifugal blower, or a DSM turbo.

    riddle...wtf

The key to solving word problems is getting rid of the words. "Where has the other dollar gone?" gives readers the false impression that all the present math is right.
  11. F1 rewind, lower rpm, but sounds better.
  12. Burnt up this months day-off last week. See any of you at Mid Ohio in July? NASA Friday registration is still open, $175 to play. It's more expensive than Ledges, but it's more than $55 closer in terms of fuel.
  13. You may be overkilling, but I'd need to see your aplication and arangement. There's no reason that 1/8" material cant hold 2 Bar if it's welded right. Brakets for the blower should be sturdy, but 1/4" 6000 aluminum should be more than enough. Going with 1/2 is sure to tbe strong enough, but you're getting more expensive material than you need, and taking on more weight than is neccesary. You should have no trouble with 1/4" for your flanges, as well, as long and they're flat and you've got good bolt coverage .
  14. Get a K bar and sed it to a machine shop.
  15. /\Good place to start. When it "spits out a bunch of wire", is it spitting it out at the speed you have the welder set on? If so, you've got something causing drag on your rotating assembly, but not over all 360deg of it. When did it start? All at once or did it slowly begine this? Old welder? Ever clean it?
  16. 1/4"? 3/8!? 1/2"!? Do you want it to support the weight of the car? Stuff that thick is usually called "plate", not sheet. What are you using it for? I've heard good things about RA, but I also find some good stuff on Ebay. Shops sell cut-offs and surplus.
  17. I saw the gatorade but didn't feel the need to drink it.
  18. sportscenter rarely covers the Grizzlies. lol
  19. Audi shits gold, it's true. . . . . As long as it's got a warranty.
  20. She is fit to receive my seed. Fired? Pathetic. If she got fired for interfering with the game, the left fielder should be canned for not being a part of it. She scooped up a ball that he gave up on, that's her job.
