  1. Its intact, its just all metal now.
  2. Launching in R is a running joke here that seems to have spread to Detroit. As for the car, nice, but most people aren't so easily amused.
  3. If they're up, they should be on, in which case anyone looking will be blinded.
  4. Ancient but good. Serves him right for trying to get over that snow pile in the first place...an anything but the Rallye Uick
  5. He's human, he's just further evidence that we're part monkey. It'll catch on in the states when people realize it's potential for evading the po'lice. Beats the hell outa gymnastics floor routines, why isn't this in the olympics?
  6. Interesting note; The rotary was the exact opposite.
  7. I picked up some free books when an old polish feller retired at work. We deal alot in Russia and he was neck deep init. In one of the books there was a buisness card size promotions card. One side had a 1998 calendar, the other had a picture of the Kamaz current model truck. It looks like this, EXACTLY like this, even the wood! http://www.info4.ru/images/farmer/kamaz.jpg
  8. ...Wasn't kidding. 4 months old and he's no longer 25" long, hes 25" Tall http://thewoodomain.net/files/11/stand.jpg He cant keep himself stable without his hands, but he got his footing pretty much down! This is great.
  9. A; You are covered by your insurance company as long as its not a timed event, its a driving school B; Dont think the RSX with a 5 pt is any safer. The only benifit of a 5pt in cageless cars is the fact that it holds you while driving, leaving your arms and legs free to do what they need to do, not having to brace yourself with them.
  10. Realy? They popped my cherry, I didn't find it too bad. But, you are right, it does depend on the experience level going into it. I'm group 3-4 now, depending on what car I take. The nice thing now is, Group 1 and group 2 are run separately of all other groups. It can be intimidating if you're in group one getting accosted by group 2 cars.
  11. Does IPS wanna sponsor a AI dominating Cougar? I need $2000 up front and use of their shop.
  12. Club or Pro course? On the Club course I run about the same in the Cougar, mid 1.50s in the bird (rip). I cant wait to get the benz out and see how it does. I'm not expecting much on the straights, but the previous owner was turning 1:13s at beaverun, 10 sec faster then the bird, its going to be the bomb diggity. I heard otherwise? I like the grooved concrete....untill I have to replace my tires.
  13. Damnit Michelle Where's the fucking Rallycross track!! Has MO beaten any records in terms of going the longest w/o resurfacing? This is going to be badassed! I wonder if the loss of the Runoffs was the final straw that broke the cheapasses back? The adition of more grand stands along the back straight, and connecting the keyhole to the esses, will give the track more spectator appeal, and therefore more Event apeal. Bring back CART!
  14. http://www.racenasa.com, sign up for Group 1 HPDE. Great instruction in your own car for about 1/4 the price. I recomend signing up for Beaverun, its a great beginners track. If you wanna use some one elses RSX and not get a chance to actualy open lap, go with the Mid Ohio School.
  15. You live in the same place I visited, right? You shouldn't have trouble heating the joint with a Woodburner. We had one at our first house and was the bomb diggity. Just keep the kids away from it, my brother and I were always melting things on top of it. http://www.personal.psu.edu/faculty/j/m/jmw474/images/IMG_0280.JPG Its a steel box with a door, cant be too expensive, $500~. See if Tinman can make you one. If you wanna go oldschool, you can put a skillet on top and cook on it. Oh, and you'll need a flue cleaning kit, do it at least once a year. It's fun, and an excuse to get on your roof. Its basicaly a big pipe cleaner on an extending rod.
  16. Bwhaha great music selection for that 2nd one!
  17. too many hordes of stupid kids.
  18. I forgot how gay that article was.
  19. Two words muh boy; Hydrolic Lifters ever have an engine with solid lifters? Its a nice, static, dead set system that works greak. But like all machines, theres creep, and they have to be adjusted almost as often as the oil is changed. Hydrolic lifters do not require this frequent maintenence.
  20. ditto. Is this the one involving a certain orange crx owner?
  21. I dunno what they pay me for, I just surf the web all day. Actualy, I'm a mechanical inspector, I inspect garage door components for a living. All this other stuff has been and independant study.
  22. Thats what I thought. Alot of people used to flare the shit out of them as well. It seems like quality work but in poor taste. Like the mighty dung beatle, no one can question the amount of effort it puts into it's work, but in the end it's still just pushing around a massive ball of shit.
  23. For some people, spending the extra cash on a car you can love is easier to justify.
  24. yeah...that was honnestly pretty impressive, he's obviously got alot of time on that road......and alot of confidence that no one is coming. How many kids die each year trying to be 733t like that?
