  1. what were they eating, choclate syrup??
  2. Incorrect. I do it often, and contrary to popular beleif, I dont think I'm Mario Andretti (pre-1973). If I got it in my head that I was truly billy bad ass behind the wheel, I'd be pissed all the time because I'm not getting paid for it. On of my instructors oonce grilled me; "If you're not sliding the car, you're not going fast enough!". But it was on of those Oracle typoe sayings. Not the truth, but what I needed to hear. The more I slid, the more I knew where the brink was, and ultimately I got to stradling the line. But the slightest slide can cost you alot of mph, it can mean the difference between exiting in 3rd gear or 2nd. The only place I consistently slide without worry about it in coming off the back straight at Beaveruns north course. Leave the kink at about 110-120 mph and stay on the gas untill the next kink, entry into turn 9, then full on the brakes. Get it right and the car will begine a slide at the 9 apex and slide along the racing line while scrubbing off just enough speed to enter the carousel at a reasonable speed. Do it wrong and....well, I've never opushed it that far yet, but grass and tire barrier will be in your future.
  3. remember the PT cruiser concepts? Frikin sweet.
  4. yep, but it's laid out a bit better. I'd take the CRX for the sake of price, reliability, parts availability, syling, and heterosexuality.
  5. It's a bad thing that rarely happens to boxer engines.
  6. looks good, but needs some re'proportioning done int he ass, and some refinement up front. That student needs paid.
  7. ......Where ...what....who the hell told you that? Its so so wrong, seriously, its wrong, it dumbfounded me. The only place "drifting" helps is where there is no grip to be had, gravel, dirt, ice snow, etc. When you can grip, you control your slide. Drifitng on pavement slows you down alot more then maintaining grip.dot.period. Your exit speed is way way down, and higher exit speed is what cornering is all about. A fast corner is done at the brink of sliding, if you break traction, the corner is ruined. Hoblick....did you watch the vid? How does Ghost rider, the rider, film himself and the bimmer from stationary positions while he's riding by...you idiot? I've got about half a dozen of his vids, this is not new to me, and yes he can ride.
  8. enjoy it while you can, the years will not be kind to them...I mean "her".
  9. all are there with the exception of the 3.73 diff, but i dont thik a fox stang can make use of any of it. Looking to move it all as a package, Elena needs something other then a pickup to get around in, the baby seat cant strap down in the bed.
  10. http://www.collectorcartrader.com been around forever.
  11. I thought spray painting in an unventilated area was bad, thats what the after school specials said anyways. Is this like a townhouse base ment, or a decent size house basement? Drywall could work, but it may be a pain. Go with something light and easy to put up. Paint some shee foam insulation, an 8x10 sheet will run you about 8 bucks, and canbe installed with minimal effort and fasteners.
  12. well...umm....errr, it should be noted that I'm quoteing stock numbers, neener neener neener. DTM cars used the same engine and got 450hp n/a and 12,500 rpm, and the motors ran for 2-3 races at a time. http://www.benzworld.org/gallery/pics/51_1307246_921200461934PM.jpg
  13. "steamer". My dad said he had one blow up once, so of course I had to try and find one and replicate the incedent. Steam power is da bomb.
  14. .......BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! how else can you react?
  15. but 1800 lbs. It'll be fun to drive, but I have a feeling alot of people will die in wrecks, cuz its made of spit and kleenex.
  16. amen brother. I was focused on my dipstick in other fluids of hers, that totaly slipped my mind. oh shit...she's registered here. :zoom:
  17. Ohh I was using my conventional math, 190bhp n/a and 2800 lbs, stock. 7000rpm, no Vtec....no torque either, so we have something in common.
  18. How do you know how fast the cossie is?
  19. Vtech makes babies giggle. http://thewoodomain.net/files/11/vtec.jpg Shitting ones self may be involved, but is unrelated.
  20. Remote oil filters are the bomb. Shit of it is, the canister unit oil filters are always a pain in the ass. Plus on the MN12s you have to be an ef'n contortionist. This drop in filter is beutiful. This is my first oil change done without spilling a drop, and I only got 3 fingers oily. I could do this in my apartment parking lot witout anyone knowing what was going on....with a low-pro drain pan.
