  1. This event is NOT sponsored by Columbus Car Audio. I was contact by the real sponsor, Unlimited Audio and Accessories, through a freind at lake Erie Communications/ The Mid Ohio Sports Car Course and asked to remedy this. If you disagree, check this out: http://www.speedtv.com/articles/auto/autoindustry/10541/ Speed vision even knows this. Here's how the real world of promotions works. If you are not title Sponsor, you do not list yourself at the sole sponsor of the event. You are setting yourself up to get sued. If you are connected with it, you still must list the title sponsor, if you dont, you are setting yourself up to get sued. If you wish to attatch yourself to this event in the way of promotions, you'd do well to list the title sponsor along with the event. Something to the effect of: Unlimited Audio Tuner Challenge at the Mid Ohio Sports Car course Tuner Challenge at the Mid Ohio Sports Car course, presented by Unlimited Audio Tuner Challenge by Unlimited Audio at the Mid Ohio Sports Car course If you just have a booth at the event, it costs money, but it does not make you a sponsor in any way, shape, or form. If you pay to have your name touted over the loud speaker, it does not make you a sponsor. I've represented car clubs at events, had them mention us, our raffles, and other activites on the PA, we were by no means a sponsor. I removed the listing from your schedule. If you wish to relist it, make the neccesary changes. I'm sure you'd like to keep your job. btw, the National Auto Sport Association will also be there, races and drifting, and if you pre register, you can get your car on the track with professional instruction. The Unlimited Audio event will even provide you with spectators to veiw your learning curve. tongue.gif I will be there, running in group 3, or the liscensing school. www.nasaproracing.com p.s. Blacloud, for gods sake please punctuate in my forum, we are all grade school grads, here.
  2. carbed? god no. straight lines, ok, but not for a road racing car.
  3. forgot you had that thing. You and I should run up at nelson ledges some time.
  4. sounds like a dude I would fear on the road. Not for loosing to him, for getting caught up in whatever his stupidity brings upon him at the wheel of that car. tongue.gif
  5. is she hot? I hear she loves cars. tongue.gif Honnestly rob, I was thinking. I'll take whatI need from this pile of crap, and what remains is yours for free, so long as you promise to send it to you ex.
  6. thats the approach I've been taking. I've left the steering column in place for now, as I still need to take some measurements. The heating/cooling ducting is blocking alot of the bolts, though, I need to yan it out before i can get going again. Trouble is, that stuff wont fit out of the holes I'm given. tongue.gif This leads me to beleive that the UAW assembled the dash outside of the car, then instaled it all at once, then hooked up the wiring harnesses, and steering column. Hey rob, did you know there was a TSB on your heating system? I pulled out some ghetto ass bent hunk of steel marked as a "TSB: Heater system baffle". it was held in by 2 philips screws and then caked over with some goo type adhesive. It was so ghetto that when I first saw it, It hough you had done it. tongue.gif
  7. I'm ripping the dash out of the cougar. My aproach to the interior has been "remove anything that's flamable", now its "remove anything that isnt edible". I want everything gone down to the firewall, accept my neccesary wiring, gauges, and steering colomn. Any tips? Anyone know how these things go in? Knowing htat would make removing htem easier, alt least know the oder in which things should be removed. thanks
  8. there's a difference between pasty white chick, and fair skinned red head. but I'm partial, I'm a sucker for a red head
  9. no one has mentioned the part about disconnecting the battery before doing any electrical work on the car
  10. alot of carfs are equiped with a rubber bushing or something like it in one of the joints of the steering shaft. it is meant to insulate your hands from road vibrations and such. if this part is old, weathered, and has added slop to it, it may result in steering play while the wheels and alignment stay straight.
  11. wow, the cheap gas almost makes up for the poor lph:hp ratio tongue.gif doesnt it burn cooler, too? Always a good thing on a rotary
  12. the question of hte moment: NA motors, why do they like low octane gas? discuss

  14. 400-450 at the flywheel, above that you're running on luck. Dude, get a toyota motor graemlins/gay.gif
  15. hmm, forces actin in all directions effect it, look to the sensor itself. Its mounted to someting, and may be loose, or may just be shot. If is a simple button contact dealy like the door ajar sensors, you may just be able to clean it. Dont know though, never actualy dealt with one.
  16. theres a sensor on you e brake peddal/lever. acceleraition creates G forces that could move the peddal/lever if loose, causing it to trip the sensor and registering the brake as on. Could eb a bad sensor itself no e brake fluid, its a cable.
  17. 96 tbird 4.6 auto, drove car last night, ran fine. parked it. freezing rain all day, car covered in ice, I gout to start it up. -open the door: dome light comes on -insert key, all is normal, ding ding ding -turn key, first click: all the lights flash up, you hear the fuel pump turn on, everything is normal. -turn key to ignite the car, you hear the starter try to turn the engine then EVERYTHING shuts off, absolutely no juice to anything in the car, like ignition makes the battery dissapear. This is my only car, and I realy need to get to Wendies for food, so I am quite pissed. the heck is going on? Battery is hooked up, grounded and all. Flashlight inspection reveils no visible top side wiring problems.
