  4. Bob, it would be a great car for you to drive back and forth to the office or gut and auto cross it.
  5. It's time for me to get a new daily so this one is now up for sale. http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/4733538596.html Up for sale is a 1999 Saab 9-3 liftback with 2.0 Turbo motor and a manual transmission. This is a great daily commuter car and that's exactly why I purchased it. The car is red/with black leather heated seats, front and side airbags/abs, am/fm/cd, cruise, steering wheel controls for stereo, power mirrors/windows. Factory alarm system works properly with the key FOB. A/C blow nice and cold, fog lights work, both heated seats work. The car has 165,2xx miles on it and runs and drives like it has 50k miles. NEVER SMOKED IN. The paint looks great on the car but, it does have your typical rock chips on the hood and a few small door dings. It is my daily driver and I put 45 miles on the car everyday so the mileage will continue to go up everyday I own the car. It's reliable and I would not hesitate to drive it across the county. At 70 MPH the car will get 31 MPG at 75 it gets 30 and at 80 will get 29 cruising on the freeway. I've owned the car for 4 years and put over 30k miles on it. During my ownership I've fix, replaced or upgraded the following: - A/C recharged and new relay - New fuel pump, sending unit, Fuel pressure regulator and MAP sensor - Front break pads - Vogtland lower spring about a 1.5 inch drop and KYB struts. - Front mount intercooler - Custom throttle body hat with all new intercooler piping - RFL Blow off valve - Cold Air Intake - Boost Gauge - BBS RK wheels with Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires 215/45/17 - It will also come with the stock wheels and winter tires. - I did replace the SID but, once again not all of the pixels are working. This is a very common issue. - Cabin filter and new NGK plugs. - Oil is changed every 3000 miles and I also changed the transmission fluid after I purchased the car. - New Passenger fog light housing - Fan speed control switch - New front Saab emblem - Rubber Saab Floor mats I was setting the car up to be a Stage 2+ car but, never got around to having it tuned and turning the boost up. Once again the car has a stock tune and stock boost setting. The car is not perfect and does have some common Saab issues; - The HVAC control knob is bound in the dash, I have it manually set to 90% dash and 10% defrost - SID does not display 100% of the pixels - Fuel gauge does not read 100% full only 7/8 and doesn't read 100% empty. The new fuel hat/sending unit caused this issue. - Two spots of rust on the car - The oil return line does seep a very small amount of oil. - The antenna needs some help retracting, it does try on it's own but, gets stuck so you have to give it a push down when you turn the radio off. I always just listen to a CD so it's not an issue for me. 13. Bill at Total Marine and Performance has been tuning the boat.
  14. Just curious why are you looking at the Ford V8 and not the Ecoboost?
  15. It wasn't a header issue, I ended up blowing both head gaskets only to find out that the motor had two different head gaskets on it. So I found a previous issue when I added boost. Then put it all back together only to have a what I think is a valve issue. When I rebuild it will become a roller motor with Aluminum heads. The goal is 750+ HP on the rebuild. 540 would be a nice motor and with the right setup you can make 600+HP all day long.
  16. Doesn't have to run 80 or 10s because I'm still faster than you :fuckyeah:
  17. well after about two hours on the lake, I noticed smoke/haze come out of the breather and I didn't like some of the noises I heard coming from the motor. So I pulled the boat out of the water and checked the rockers and tighten the header bolts changed the oil once again, which looked good and then started it on the hose. It started right up and but still didn't sounds right, so I pulled the plugs and this is what #5 looked like. http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u57/playwithlinn/F6099D53-4F1A-4536-9B35-4AA32D112AFE_zps0v7ybmye.jpg So I scope the motor and the top of the piston is beat up. I'm thinking I broke/bent a valve and it was banding around in the cylinder. From what I can tell the sidewalls look good but, I wont know more until I pull the heads once again. The motor is coming back out in a few weeks and it looks like I'm going to completely tear it down. What is the most upsetting/disappointing part is I didn't even get to run the boat wide open. At 3/4 throttle and 4400 RPM i went 73.3 with a 30 pitch prop.
  18. Bob what RCs do you have left? It's winter you will need a few.
