  1. I now have 5 hours on the motor and it went 74 with out even trying at 4400 rpm. It would bog down if it pushed the throttle any more than that and I could leave the throttle at the same position trim up and the rpm would increase from 3800 to 4400. It would bog at 3800 just like it does at 4400. When the secondary are starting to open. I pulled fuel out of it up top but, it didn't help the issue. Then after just cruising around for a while and coming off plane the Procharger didn't sound right. So I open the hatch and find the bearing is fucked in the Procharger and now it needs rebuilt. Just another used part to come back and bit me in the ass.

I'm thinking this was my issue up top and it wasn't increasing boost as it should have been. As of right now the boat run 74 with about 50% throttle and this 30 pitch prop might not be a big enough.

  2. Has it gone back in the water yet?

Motor sounds good, see you out there! I thought that was you I passed last week heading into the cove but no wave back. I don't know what it is but every Check I've passed / waved at, no response. They must all know me...lol.

LOL, I wave at everyone. People make fun of me for it but I don't care :lolguy: I didn't make it out to the cove, maybe another pink and blue Check or maybe I was not paying attention because I was worried about water in the oil.

  3. Has it gone back in the water yet?

I'm just waiting on the new intake manifold to show up from Dart. I've already changed the oil at least 10 times, so it looks good but, I'll need to change it every hour for awhile.

  4. Linn,

Its me... Hua and Howard knew I moved here a month ago. Actually they knew I was moving here a while ago.

Hua, said something to me about it last week. Looking forward to catching up with you.

  5. We, it's alive!!! As always with my build I feel like I take one step forward only to take two steps back. I spent 5 hours on Saturday trying to figure out a wiring issues with the MSD ignition only to realize, I still had the factory key on and tach wire on the coil and the MSD wires.

Once that was figured out, I was able to get the boat started and timing set. Take the boat to the lake, idle out, check the oil and it's milky. I had water seep up on the heads from the intake manifold during initial startup tightened the bolts and it went away on the top side but, now it's leaking into the oil. So I spent all Sunday changing the oil and will change it a few more times tonight. This has been my luck with this entire project.

Note to self, don't buy used parts
