  1. The article in the newspaper has a little more info..... Battelle says........ "employees have collected 13 bullets in recent weeks that have landed on roof tops, pulled from building sides and vehicles in the employee parking lot. The suit states that one employee was walking with his daughter on the grounds when a bullet whizzed by. Contractors working at the facility also have heard bullets whizzing over head."
  2. Just got back from BDSR and Pete said that Battelle is the one bitching about the range. They claim to have had stray bullets hit buildings. I wouldn't count on the range opening back up until next week but he's hoping for Friday. The pistol range isn't going to be permanently shut down but Pete thinks that the 300yrd rifle range will get shut down for good. From the Madison Press http://www.madison-press.com/local.asp?ID=2012&Story=2 "A local shooting range is now in the position of sweating bullets to stay in business after claims that bullets from the range have found their mark across a major roadway and onto another company’s property. The dangerous situation was brought to light in Madison County Common Pleas Court on Monday. The Battelle Memorial Institute, 505 King Ave. in Columbus, filled a lawsuit in Madison County Common Pleas Court on June 14, asking for a temporary and permanent injunction against Big Darby Creek Shooting Range LLC, which is located at 8875 Middle Pike Road in West Jefferson. Battelle alleges that the shooting range operations are negligent and are a safety hazard to their employees, visitors and contractors at Battelle’s Hazardous Materials and Biomedical Research Center located at 1425 Plain City-Georgesville Road (also a part of state Route 142) in West Jefferson."
  3. I just called Pete and he hopes to have the range back open by this Friday. I hate asshole neighbors....
  4. I was going to go there today. I'll run by and see whats up.
  5. for my Fox body. Let me know what you got and how much you want?
  6. When I had one 12 years ago it cost about $1.10 a round to shoot. I kept it for a couple years and sold it making $200 profit on it. I never had any problems with mine but I only shot maybe 50 rounds through it. It was a lot of fun to shoot at indoor ranges. It felt like Hulk Hogan in his prime hitting you in the sternum every time you pulled the trigger.
  7. Wagner, You're in Hilliard aren't you? If you want to go to the range out here in West Jeff on Middle Pike Rd LMK I live a couple miles from it and can meet you there about anytime. I can bring a 1911, a 9mm and a glock 22 for you to try out. That would save you at least $30 just in rental fees......
  8. Just figured I'd see if anyone here has one for sale before I go buy a new one. Doesn't have to be "pretty" it's going in my basement workshop. thanks
  9. depends how much current your drawing from that circuit already and depends on what you're wanting to hook up to it. Do you have more details?
  10. I'll buy one as long as they keep the price down. I have a feeling they're going to be over $400 and that's to much for me......
  11. Did you noticed what they are selling the used ones for?
  12. I have a question for ya Ben. What did you use the bike for being it's a single speed?
  13. Nice meeting you too. Sorry I was running late
  14. Send me your address and I'll figure out when I can make it today.
  15. I'll take it. PM me when and where I can pick it up.
  16. A manager I reported to 10 years ago told me that. He went there every time he went to Vegas. lol I guess I need to think more before I type..
  17. If you plan on using a cab to get around, don't try to flag one down on the street. They aren't aloud to pick up on the street so just walk up to the closest hotel and grab one. The Luxor is a cool hotel and you can get good rates there but I too was a little let down when I walked inside. The Excaliber is cool looking from the outside too but again I wasn't impressed at all on the inside. Hooter's was a huge waste of time walking to and it's across the street from the MGM. Seems like all the REALLY nice hotels are in the middle of the strip and a couple on the North end. If you do want to go to a show DO NOT pay full price. Go to the giant glass Coke bottle across the street from NY NY by the MnM store. You can get tickets to about every show in vegas there for usually half price. We sat in the front row of the Blue man group for $49 each which is normally about $120 each. If I remember right it's about a 40 minute cab ride out to the Bunny Ranch.
  18. I agree with both these statements. The wife and I went last Sept. and stayed at the MGM. The flight and room was $512 for both of us for 4 days. We walked the strip until we got tired then rode the mono rail back to the MGM. If you don't feel like walking, buy a day pass for the mono rail and it'll take you to or close to about anywhere you want on the strip. Have fun!!
  19. Does this take propane tanks or does it hook up to a natural gas line from your house? What parts does it need? I'm very interested
  20. If Bill changes his mind, I'll take it.
  21. What did they cost you Alex? $30 for 20rnds? I have the PDX1's in .40S&W and .45ACP...... Didn't know they made them in shotgun rounds too.
  22. My buddy bought the Compact 9 and I didn't like shooting it at all. Felt like a 5lb block of pot metal sliding back and forth on a plastic handle. The Hi point handguns aren't for me, but I absolutely love my 995 carbine. I bought it back in 97 or 98 and have put over 10,000 rounds through it. The only major problem I had with it was the extractor wouldn't work on it right out of the box. I sent it back to them and they fixed it and gave me a free magazine. The only part of the bothered me on the warranty process was the lady told me to ship the gun UPS and write on the box that it is "Machined Parts" and specifically told me to NOT tell UPS I'm shipping a gun. That bothered me so I shipped it the correct way. It only cost me $7 more dollars to ship it as a firearm instead of lying to the UPS folks. I still don't understand why she would tell people to do that..... If Hi Point would ever get off their asses and release the 45ACP carbine I would buy one. Good luck and have fun with your 45.............
  23. Gander Mountain website has them for $229.99 http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=422270&pdesc=New_England_12_Ga_w/28_Vent_Rib_Barrel/Modified_Choke_Tube_Walnut_Stock&aID=510D2&merchID=4006 Seems like a decent price for a clean shotgun. If you don't sell it I'll buy it from you Friday. PM and let me know what happens.... Also where you located? thanks
