  1. I did Toyota because of Prius, Camry and corolla drivers (especially if they are not originally from this country)
  2. See the link listed. I've been running the factory RAT 3.03 3-speed manual in my F100 fine, but this morning it started making a bearing noise in 3rd gear on the highway. Still drives fine, but I'd like to get a slip-yoke 3- or 4-speed manual that would bolt to the 300 in my teeruk. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104566 I'll check car-parts.com, but if anyone knows of someone that may have a tranny locally I'd be appreciative. Alternatively, I'll look for a 2-piece driveshaft to hook up the T18 4-speed I already have, but if I'm spending some money on something I'd rather just get slip-yoke trans!
  3. I did. But my point is if he's looking to truly lease a car for a couple of years (possibly still be within a warranty/maintenance program) he should be looking for the best balance between deal and vehicle. I've seen KIA leases for $99/mo, admittedly with 12kmiles/yr. That's why I mentioned them.
  4. http://www.newsday.com/entertainment/celebrities/flavor-flav-arrested-after-speeding-on-li-police-say-1.6767104 Dude had 16 suspensions? ...was driving a Hyundai?? ...IS 54 YEARS OLD?!?1?
  5. If you're going to lease, just get the stick car with the best deal you can get. You'll be splitting hairs over a few MPG and $20-$40 a month? Check out the Mazda 2. Great car - especially in stick form - that's economical and still fun to drive. Otherwise, just get whatever KIA or Hyundai stick-shift appliance you can get for cheap.
  6. The salmonella at that fine establishment made you lose your schteak...not some 4yo pop-lock-n-dropping it.
  7. http://www.columbuscarclub.com/ I got an email from some OSU student that wants to revamp CC&C.net's website. I go over to Paul's site and I find this: Thank you! Creating and running Columbus Cars and Coffee has been a great experience for me. From our humble beginnings in a Bob Evans parking lot in 2009 to exciting events with brands like Tesla Motors and Aston Martin, and rewarding partnerships with companies like Studio 47, Byers Imports, AMH EXOTIC PARTS, Tim Hortons, and others, CC&C has truly been a huge part of my life for the past five seasons. I also met a lot of great people and made some great friends along the way. I've made the decision to discontinue Columbus Car and Coffee in its current form after spending this off-season thinking about what matters most in my life at this time. My production company, Best Light Video, is experiencing record growth and expansion and I recently invested in an awesome retail startup called Robert Mason Co. These and other personal and professional interests are what drive all of my other passions, including cars, and I've decided to take a couple of years to focus more completely on them. I will continue my work with the Bobby Rahal Foundation's Rally for The Ranch to support The Buckeye Ranch and everything that they do for families in our community. Thanks to everyone who has attended, supported, promoted, or enjoyed Columbus Cars and Coffee! Sincerely, Paul Milligan
  8. http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2014/01/review-car2go-smart/ I've been seeing these cars all around downtown, but didn't know how the service ran. Intadesting info...
  9. Wags, pics are looking great! Love the light/color filters. Pics 2,5, and 3 are my favs...
  10. NOW would definitely be the time to do any sort of rear exhaust swap. Looks yummy!
  11. Snow tires cost more than my truck is worth. :fa:
  12. My walk from Columbus Commons to my office covers 4 blocks and takes about 10 minutes. This morning, the lashes on my windward eye froze to each other. No doubt it's cold...I just remember days being far worse and still having school. But again...I'm sure every older generation thinks that in comparison to the youngsters...
  13. Just got an automated call from UA Schools that tomorrow (Tues 1/7) is cancelled due to the extreme weather as well!!! This rant's gonna make me sound old, but I srsly remember going to school in upstate NY in the mid '90s when it was -10 outside, with a wind chill of -40deg! I don't doubt that kids could get frostbite if they stayed outside too long, waiting for a bus or something...but I'm thinking more about Feb/Mar when we will have 20"+ snowstorms. BUNCHA PU55IES!
  14. I blame my iPhone. Has nothing to do with "user" settings: shizz looks fine when I'm uploading it!
  15. Welp, I received a healthy HF gift card for Christmas (fkking enablers in my family!) so despite the majority of experienced opinions on here, I got the welder I had my eye on, along with the MIG cart and auto-dimming helmet. I really couldn't turn it down because my out of pocket for everything was less than $100, and I really, REALLY couldn't bring myself to troll CL for used welders. For future HF purchases, make sure you sign up for their email newsletter: definitely has better coupons than the circulars. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=693&pictureid=7432 YEA: The cart is a nice item, and I'm very glad I had that. Auto-dimming helmet made me nervous but it's passed the test so far: snaps dark and the dimming function works well in bright direct lighting. I took people's recommendations and bought Lincoln Electric wire at Lowes on my way home; hoping that will help out with some of the basic, hobby-level projects I have in mind. NAY: Having used Lincoln Electric SP-175's from two friends in the past, the functions of this welder are a little laughable: there is no gas regulator for the MIG, and the gas tube is really wimpy. My dick is bigger than the gun line and main power cord; may be just as effective to weld with. Time will tell. Overall, I'm OK with the purchase and hope it'll do well a few times to stop me from returning it. Will keep CR informed!
  16. Sorry to hear this...will definitely keep you in my prayers!

  18. LS manifolds do not fit an older-style small block chevy.
  19. Could you bolt a little jumpseat in the trunk valley of your C5Z? Have one of those glow-in-the-dark trunk release ripcord handles to get out? THERE'S YOUR BACKSEAT
  20. http://www.autoblog.com/2014/01/03/2014-chevy-camaro-z28-75000-price/ $75k Camaro LOL
