  1. Just a clean-up, some personalization, military-style stenciled name, etc...You'll see it soon enough!
  2. Amazing how well cages work these days. 300mph and the frame survives a major explosion, and skid to a stop from that speed...bouncing off of concrete walls in the process. The driver walks away. Simply amazing. Glad Antron was OK!
  3. Sale did NOT fall through, Benny-boy!
  4. Gordon Gee = Woody Allen What is seen cannot be unseen...
  5. Ben's in Phoenix, Hobs... Personally, I fancy a Savage 650 myself. Big "Thumper" single-cylinder...super-economical first bike, Leno digs the Ryca cafe conversion...
  6. Mike's making his A5 into a schweet ride. Great to see you back, mang! You'll be a valuable contributor.
  7. Love the "throwback" look to the 48. Great bike and many happy miles to you!
  8. They are the stocker 15x6 steel wheels in white that had silver (seriously corroded) "dog dish" caps that I spray-painted white. Sanding/painting the steelies white again was the original plan. I may try to get wider rear steelies with fatter meats (it does a mean pegleg burnout at pretty much every stoplight, especially in the winter) which would also get painted white. I'm convinced that keeping white steelies all around is the way to go, otherwise I may do Moons as a custom look.
  9. LOL @ alibaba.com.....China will sell you 1000 wheels for $15 a piece. http://sell.lulusoso.com/selling-leads/618942/Jeep-steel-wheel-4x4.html
  10. So...along those lines, maybe some Moon full wheel covers would look good for cheap? I really am liking the super simple wheel treatment idea...especially with the cost being so dURRtay!
  11. I'm drinking Dogfish 90min IPA...normally I hate IPA's because they are so fucking hoppy it tastes like Lysol afterwards. However, this has a great sweetness, and at 9% ABV you can't go wrong. Thanks, Daily Growler! $16 for a 64oz growler...plan on killin' it tonight grrrrrrrr...
  12. Fucking HOT ROD ROADKILL baby! Episode 12 below... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVTz2lSePSw
  13. I really wanted white wheels, to match the red/white paint scheme. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=669&pictureid=6777 Another thing I was thinking of was a set of Moons. http://www.ebay.com/itm/15-FULL-MOON-HOT-ROD-RACING-DISC-HUB-CAPS-WHEEL-COVERS-/230629598080?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35b2986380&vxp=mtr http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/4/640/4449/39099724149_large.jpg Easy, simple, clean look for not a lotta dough and piece-o-cake update!
  14. Good call, Paul...Im going to start looking at CL as well...
  15. You were looking at the Zero Fucks Given RX7 vid, weren't ya? :masturboy:
  16. With the lowered I-beams I'm putting on Cleetus, I'd like to look into a new set of wheels and tires. I'd like to keep an old-school street rod look to it, so I was thinking of Sprint or Bassett wheels. 15" or 16" diameter, with a staggered 235/265 tire combo. Worst case scenario...I could get basic steel wheels and paint them white. Any ideas where I can get steelies for cheap?
  17. Good deal!!! Many happy miles to you...
  18. I did think it was black, but when I saw the pics I flipped the question back to my FiL. Apparent I was wrong. Never been wrecked, small scrunch in the read corner. Weatherstripping is toast, seats are crap under the covers.
  19. Guten tag to you too. Eli!
  20. From searching 17s and 18s for ANY car, you're better off with 17" wheels and tires. Uses you go high-dollar, the 18" wheels will be heavier, and guaranteed to be more expensive. If you add in track-duty - and tire consumption - you're better off with 17s. See my thread about downsizing from 18s to 17s for my Passat; waaaay cheaper wheel/tire options if I go 17s.
  21. The Passat has some seriously cupped tires that I'm replacing. However, the Chinese eBay-special wheels that I got 5 years ago are corroded and one of them may be bent from a recent, awesome pothole. Wheels are 18x8. I'm looking at getting some new wheels, and in order to save a buck on a 156k mile DD that will last a few more years. Any shame in moving down from an 18" to 17" wheel/tire combo? Found some great deals, and I've always liked how a clean set of shoes makes the car. 22. Thanks, guys...I'm also realizing it's SOUTH, not north. I guess I could only see a few cars in, so it just looked like a lot of cars from the highway, driving at 75mph...
  23. For sale is "PaPaw Bill's" (my distant grandfather-in-law) is looking to get rid of his 'Vette. He's the second owner, with my Father-in-Law being the first owner since new up to 1993. I'm sure the miles are over 100k, but not sure what exact mileage is now. Details: 1985 Corvette TPI 350, 4+3 Doug Nash manual transmission DOES NOT RUN, but has thousand$$$ in recent new parts/work (fuel pump, ECU, etc...) Located in West Virginia What you see is what you get PaPaw wants $2500 for it. I'm trying to broker a deal for him. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo42.jpg?t=1360897984 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo32.jpg?t=1360897986 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo22.jpg?t=1360897988 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo12.jpg?t=1360897990 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo41.jpg?t=1360897992 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo31.jpg?t=1360897995 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo21.jpg?t=1360897997 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo11.jpg?t=1360897999 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo43.jpg?t=1360898001 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo33.jpg?t=1360898003 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo23.jpg?t=1360898005 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo13.jpg?t=1360898007 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo3.jpg?t=1360898009 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo2.jpg?t=1360898011 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/photo1.jpg?t=1360898013
  24. "One nut"??? When it's an axle pinion nut that backs off, and the pinion decides to become more intimate with the ring gear causing major mechanical failure...... YUUUUUUUUUUUP! Shitty rear axle.
