  1. 'Bout to go eat lunch. What's on the menu? MEAT! Like a boss. You're a homo if you quote/edit this.
  2. Just got off the phone with Carl (the owner) at OVO. Explained that between my wife, myself, my father, and my brother we've spent over $2K there this year alone. Hell, just on Sunday we picked up wifeys Bodyguard (as most of you know) 150 rounds of .38, 150 rounds of 9mm, glasses, and a holster, brother got a Mossberg 835, 2 boxes of shells, a box of .22LR, dad got a new range bag, 3 boxes 9mm and a box of .22LR, and range time all around. Serious coinage dropped in about 30 minutes. $900 - $1000 total I believe. When I got home I realized that while Gander and OVO had the S&W for $499.99 Vances had it on sale for $429.99. I called yesterday and of course they were closed. Called when they opened today and Dan helped me but said ultimately I'd have to talk to Carl and he isn't in until noon. He tells me that when shoppers bring in an ad they usually price match but after the sale the owner would have to make that call. Hmmm. Doesn't look promising. I call in, ask for Carl, he picks up without making me wait too long, and I explain the situation. Convo went something like this: Me: "Hi Carl. My name is Randy. (See first 2 paragraphs). I was wondering if you could price match even after the sale. If not I'd like to see if you could make up the difference in ammo and/or accessories." Carl: "Yeah Randy. Not a problem. We can definitely match that price for you. Just bring in the receipt." I can't express the service I've gotten here repeatedly. This guy could've said, "All sales final. Eff off." Instead he asks for no details but assures me he'll work with me. I'd +rep them if I could.

Understood. Sounds like a winner. If you can shoot one effectively and it doesn't cause probs that's what's really important.
  4. Sounds like we have a lot of testing to do for sure. I was thinking this would be a 3-5 horse race but man, great reviews Peeps. Thanks a ton. Her bodyguard is +P so we have a wide variety. Also, I will def have her practice with what she'll be caring. "Practice with what you're going to perform with" my uncle says.
  5. Article I'm reading talked about wadcutter rounds not having much stopping power. Also, read this in there: Anyone used them?

LOL. Read the rest kemosabe (sp). I love Glocks. Personally, I'd put my SR9c against a Glock for ME. I performed better with it. That's all. It says something when Ruger modeled the SR9c after some of the best compacts though taking elements from each.
  7. Heavier may not be better. Remember, it's my wife that's handling the .38. She shot well with the ball rounds. I was thinking Hornady CD for my 9 and unsure what to get for her .38 so these suggestions are all helping.
  8. Great info. Thanks all. I thought I'd get more people repping Hornady CD. Hmmm...

SR9c > Glock. Just love mine. I know that's a silly arguement. Glocks are great, but after shooting my friends 26 and my Ruger back to back I'll stick with my Ruger for now. Love the Glock but I shoot better with the Ruger and it feels so right in my hands. lol

Absolutely love mine. 100% best purchase I've made thus far on anything weapon related. I picked mine up from Gun Envy at a show at Westland the week they were released or somethign so nobody knew what they were and nobody was buying. Talked the guy into a ridiculous price. Accurate, smooth, and no probs with ~1000 rounds. Easy to strip and clean too IMO.
  13. Sorry, guess that would help. 38 special and 9mm pistols. I've had so many problems with WWB with multiple systems it usually deters me from buying any of Winchesters ammo.
  14. Search came up pretty empty. School me. Hornady? Magtech? Glaser? Go.
  15. Ghetto JP in da muh fuhgin housh yo.
  16. Don't be a jerk. Everyone knows the decals make the car faster. Welcome. Nice car. Needs less historical plate though. Just a personal opinion though, it's your car so rock it as you please.
  17. I live in the country. Far enough out where nobody thinks about gun shots for a different reason. Step on my property and shoot at or threaten me or my fam. 2 12 gauges, a .22 rifle, a Walther P22, Ruger SR9c, S&W 38 Special, and FNP-9 are readily available, and in a couple instances some have been pulled and brought outside. Cop sided with us. Not that I would in a rural area, but I would, as you said, at least call the cops. Not just hop into bed. Also, lol @ desk pop.
  18. I liked the other writers style better.

  20. I thought ATI modified weapons with custom stocks and such. Could be wrong though.
