It seems the turbo loses efficiency a little before 7000 so there's probably no real reason to. If they slapped a bigger turbo on there they would probably have to rev it out quite a bit more. They probably wanted something that spools decently quick unlike a huge, godlike-sized turbo.
We got a bunch of baby stuff.
Some homeware things.
Abercrombie Cologne.
Some tools.
Clothes.
Red Robin gift cards.
And come tomorrow I get my christmas present to myself. :-) A nice bright orange KRL Snap-On toolbox.
Well he is going to be a part-time advisor part-time valet during his training. I don't know if you knew Jermaine, but he recently went on to better things so Andy is moving up and we got a new advisor switch to West from Southeast.
luvmy86 is the person we are replacing at work. He has only been there about 5 months and already being promoted to become a Service Advisor, those guys make ~$40-70k easy.
Starting pay is around $8.50 an hour. The hours aren't super flexible, you might be able to get a later shift.
If you ended up in the day shift though, you only work Monday through Friday, weekends off.
This position mainly is washing cars, detailing cars, moving around new/used cars in the front lots, going on parts runs, cleaning the shop, it's nothing too awesome it's just a job to have that isn't repetative or boring.
I'm a tech at Saturn West in Hilliard, OH. We are looking to replaced a lot tech who is being moved up to become a Service Advisor. You must be 18+ and a decent driving record. Let me know and I'll recommend you. My boss takes my recommendations seriously as the people who I've recommended have been with the company and promoted up through the ranks.
There are advancement opportunies within the company in every sort of direction so this is a job you can make a career.
This would be a 7:20AM to 4PM shift if I'm correct with a 1 hour lunch break.
There are some things you can do with the car though without spending tons of money. Throw on a ported small-port head with bluetop cams and All-trac brakes for example.
I'd do it for a reasonable amount of cash. Although, if I were you I'd hold off on getting a GZE and just get some suspension upgrades and brake upgrades before you go throwing that in. If you need help, LMK I have plenty of experience with old Toyota's.
It's still a Saab engineered motor, it's a 2.0L turbo, similar to a 9 3 turbo. I didn't mean it's the exact same motor. All those ECOTECH motors were engineered by Saab.
The only thing I've seen so far with problem to the Redline Sky in our database is a problem with the fuel injector connectors. Seems they become loose and you have to replace the terminals. Other than that, just a few water leaks from the convertible top concerns. The regular Sky's are fun little cars, I'm willing to bet the Redline are even better. If you want to get one let me know and I can recommend you so I can get a $75 bonus. ;-) haha They are just those little Saab motors 2.0L turbo, same thing as the 9 3 turbo. Just a little more power.
I'm a Saturn technician at Saturn West in Hilliard. We've only had one Redline Sky go through delivery so far and it was already sold so none of us have been able to drive it. :-\ I have heard that they have a common ticking noise from the factory, also all Sky's have a driveline clunk in the transmission while shifting which is "normal characteristics of the vehicle." The car is so new that our computer haven't been totally updated, I'll check to see if there are any major problems with them in our database right now when I get to work. Good luck getting one though, we have a 70 person waiting list still I believe to get a Sky.
This is rather true as well. Another thing, you say you love working on cars. You won't anymore. When I get off work I nevvvvvvver want to touch any of my cars. I had a set of coilovers for the 240 sitting around for two months b/c I just didn't feel like throwing them on, which took about an hour and a half. It's so unmotivating.
