I would try to buy a complete wrecked 2.3T car to swap parts from it makes everything go alot easier if you have any questions let me know I just did a 2.3t mustang last year

2001 impala 3.1 uncle says on the way down from minnesota his dash lights took a shit is there anything more common to go bad? dimmer, body module, cluster? I'd like to fix it before he goes home and the quicker I can knock it out the more random family shit I can do instead of just spending his vac down here fixing the stupid cluster thanks

the motor had a hard life I think. I put a new head on it drove it to work put wheels and tires on it and bang blew up on the way home 1 block from house never got to spray it do donuts nothing the tires and wheels have like 15 miles on them blue stuff is even still on the letters

the new term is "world car" almost nothing has all of its parts and assembly made in the same country anymore

th easiest way to check is to watch the o2 on a scanner and see if the volatge switches slow or is always low if you need access tot a scan tool let me know and I'll bring mine home so you can look at it

I didn't bother to read this whole thread but those lincolns seem to hold up ok with the exception of the suspension parts being really expensive to replace -
it will cost more than the car is worth to fix it
