+1 for a flood car I would get a carfax and have it inspected before buying including pulling up the carpet and stuff to see the floors if its in good shape and sound no reason not to buy
hell the guy coulda ran over something in the road and put hole in the oil pan if he had full coverage and it got priced out for a new motor it may have totaled the car at current shop rates
I have one sitting on the floor in my garage for my 88lx I'm probably going to put it in a week or so I can let you know if I have fitment problems, but the housings and mountings for shocks and control arms all measure up the same......
take off the timing cover and the timing chain and then you just pull it out make sure to pull it out straight if it gets crooked you might tear up a cam bearing
its a 71 skylark pretty rough but you can check it out sometime motor is currently apart....
all you need to put that rear in your car are the axles from your mustang they are a tiny bit shorter the rest of the rear end bolts right in and works with all your stock stuff
if its a streeter just use a normal lead acid battery
if you need a gel battery to meet a class requirement for rollover saftey you can use an optima just plan on replacing it often
and a flooring nailer and pay somebody to finish sand the floor wich makes a huge mess
I have floating floor in my house it looks nice and it holds up well to abuse
