that belt doesn't have to be loose to have wasted the head it could have just slipped make a paint mark on the belt and turn the engine over by hand one full turn and look for missing teeth it doesn't have to slip much to bust shit up
I've always been happy with my M1 carbine, but the prices are pretty retarded on them right now
if you can find one you might try a tommy gun it shoots .45 auto and has an availiable 100 round drum mag
when the car is running you should be able to look down inside the radiator with the cap off and see water flowing out of the tubes....
if the water is not flowing the pump is hoed
a broken belt you can see in the steering wheel at low speeds it will wobble back and forth if you just hold it lightly without being able to see the car I would tell you to first have the tires checked for balance and the wheels checked for runout ( if you can't bring it to me any tire shop worth a fuck can get you done)
if the wheels all check out ok start looking for broken parts bent parts usually don't cause vibrations you get pull or wander.
if you can't bring the whole car you are welcome to bring me the wheel and tire assy's one at time and I can check them out for you
the best way to check for a blown head gasket is with a block tester it fits down in the radiator where the cap goes and it has a chemical in it that changes color if the head gasket is blown you can buy one pretty cheap from napa
also check to see if coolant is circulating the impeller could have come undone from the pump shaft its just peened on
if you can get out here you can borrow my distributor for a couple days and see if that fixes your problem or I have one from an sn-95 you can have but you have to chnage to remote mount tfi.....
I wouldn't rebuild a t-5 unless you are just reusing the case and replacing all the parts inside a good powershift on a stock motor will kill one. put a cheap used one in it and save your money for a tremec
thats not a real big cam how much does the car weigh?
if its a street driver a 2800-3000 would be ok maybe a little more if the car weighs over 3500 lbs
the alt recieves its turn on signal via the ign switch if the switch is wasted the alternator will not turn on/stay on and the battery goes dead
check for power on the stator wire check for 13+ volts at the battery when running if all that looks good check your fuel pressure and have the tfi module tested
