This particular post struck me as odd. Tristan, you claim to have an SC2 but you did the SOHC to DOHC swap. I'm sorry man, but you have an SC1. Also, you went through all that time and effort to gain 24hp? Why not just buy an SC2 5spd? It would have been cheaper!

Great looking place. My wife and I bought our first house back in May. For the most part, it's great. I miss apt life sometimes though! LOL I hate mowing the grass, utilities suck, you gotta become "handy" around the house, more space to accumulate crap...etc. Oh, and I thought I would get away from jerkoff neighbors....NOT. I got a hillbilly neighbor who bought a cheap house in our neighborhood. This guy has a bombed out car sitting in the driveway, his whole lawn is dead and filled with weeds, and he does burnouts on the sidewalk with his "BUSA" I think he lives with his mom and he likes to get 0-100mph times on the main drag through our neighborhood. Guys like that really up your resale value.... I guess if I werent married, I might still be slummin in the apt without a care in the world! Oh to be 22 again! Later

See it. Reminded me of Full Metal Jacket, but it had its own identity. DO NOT expect a war movie. It's based on a book written by Woffard (main character) It basically takes you through boot camp and Desert Storm. I dont want to give too much away, so if you have the chance, check it out. +1 on lurking I could post more, but seeing as most replies are in the "smart ass" category, I choose not to piss off those I dont know. Don't get me wrong, I learn alot from this site and its got a high entertainment value. Most of you guys have forgotton more about cars than I'll ever know. Hopefully I'll get out more, meet more of you, and then feel comfortable busting your balls on the site! Later! Jason

I just saw on columbusgasprices.com that the Speedway on Hilliard Rome was at 1.96.

Here at the store, I watch state troopers day after day pick off cars heading south on 23 between Polaris Pkwy and Lazelle Rd. I've watched 5-6 people get pulled over in an hour on a regular basis. Please be careful when driving up here. Later, Jason

Really? I thought they both impaired decision reaction time. I'm not sure that the innoncent sober driver/ ped you just took out cares about your mindset.

If that's your only reason, then it makes the choice pretty clear. How bout they rebuild Burbon Street in Vegas? Keep your party and let me keep my tax dollars:)

Not to hijack the thread, but what do we do now? Is New Orleans worth rebuilding? What if it was just turned into a commercial district? Maybe a port and refining city? Just a thought. I think its like rebuilding a sand castle at low tide and expecting it to be there in the morning.

I agree. With all the new car programs out there, dont buy any car for "resale" value. Practically speaking, I think the Chevy/Expedition is your best bet. There are so many of them out there because people are dumping them left and right to either buy new ones (employee pricing) or because of gas mileage. You should be able pick one up for a song. The savings you get up front should more than allow for any repairs down the road. That being said, if you want to go with the QX4, I'd be more than happy to help you locate one (if you havent done so already)

If the city is paying 3.00/gal for gas, they have to write more tickets. I'd expect cops to tighten up a lot. If you ever drive on 23 N about 2 miles north of 270, be careful. County Mounties, and State patrol camp out on the North end of our Lot. I've watched them pick up 4 people in an hour during the day.

I cant fix cars, but I can sell them. I've got a decent network built up with some pre-owned sales managers in the columbus area. I run the pre-owned dept at a local Nissan dealership. If you are looking, I can help you find it or know someone who can. Later, Jason

We've got credit unions we deal with. You must have great credit and the miles cant be too obscene. Let me know if I can help out more.

If it's Bill Mcgraw, he's the best. I had mine done 2 years ago and never had a problem. Good guy...knows his way around everything. He got it done fast, right, and reasonable. Highly recommend!

I'm not sure about the Fog light placement. I also hated the fact that she really didnt know what she was looking at. If that were my car, I would have started crying like a baby. You would have to pry me off the ceiling after I bear hugged every tech in that shop. Why waste a build on someone who really doesnt appreciate it. If my kid would have had no reaction like hers did, I would have slapped him! Later, Jason

Any supply issues? Where did you pick it up? Thanks for the review.

Possible Big Ten Bias? 4 out of the 16 have Big Ten ties.

I've got a little experience in this area. ( I sell at Nissan North) The QX4 is a great vehicle. Its a virtual twin of the Pathfinder. I know our service dept can work on Infiniti vehicles any time. The costs should be very similar to repair compared to Nissan. The Xterra's have always had the 3.3L engine and up until 2001, the QX4s did as well. Nissan/Infiniti do a great job not trying to make things too complicated. Their entire V6 product line is based off the same engine block. That block has been named as a top 10 award winner for the past 11 years. Good luck on your purchase. You'll love your Infiniti.

Turn the place into a commercial oil refining/distribution district. Screw spending billions to rebuild projects. Just one guy's opinion. Later Jason
