  1. That looks pretty nice. I have toyed with the idea of picking up an AR15. But I may have to wait and see how the pricing is on this and how it does.
  2. Wow that sucks. But the good thing is that she is ok. I am up on Long Island this week on business and my rental car got broken into and one of my co-workers laptops got taken off the back seat. Luckly mine and the other co-worker with me had ours in the back of the car (08 Ford Edge), and they were fine. Hertz was really cool with it and replaced the car quickly. Guy said it happens all the time up there. Thank god for the insurance.
  3. Good deal on slightly used gun. I have one myself, and I have put close to 3K rounds through it. It is a good beginner 9mm for a good price. Good luck with the sale. Going through a dealer or a FFL, they will charge you $25-$35 to do the check. In Ohio it is legal to do a privite sale of a fire arm as long as they are of age to buy it, 18 for long guns, 21 for hand guns. Running it through the FFL only gets you the back ground check on the buyer. They do no change who the gun is federally registered to. Just about every private gun seller will ask you sign something like this to cover there butts if the gun is used in a crime and linked back to the you. Oh and Evan, get a copy of there drivers license as well.
  4. If Buck doesn't take them, I will take them. Heck I would have given you $20 for them if I knew these were for sale after I got my Cherokee.
  5. The Jeep Cherokee (XJ) was made from 1984 to 2001. All of them made here in Toledo Ohio
  6. hmm, that is hard to say for sure. Both have there advantages and disadvantages. I grew up in Utica and now live up near Polaris. I like living in the city just because I am close to work and everything. But I like the country for the privacy. I will more than likely live in the city till I get older and then I will go buy my cabin in the woods with some good property.
  7. My Dad has one. I think it is an 06 too. He has 40K on his and they just had to replace the whole stearing rack. He was under warranty, so it was done for free. The mechanic said it is a common problem with them. They knew it was the stearing rack when he called in and told them about the noise it was making. I think he has also had to have both front ball joints replaced too, but that may have been in his old Grand Am.
  8. I know all guns can be hit or miss, but I know quite a few guys that have put way over 3,000 rounds through their Hi-Point and never had a single problem. Most of them have ben carbines, but still they are Hi-Points. My Hi-Point wasn't too bad for accuracy up to about 25 feet. After that, it seemed to be more off. And it wasn't just me, I had many people shoot my Hi-Point and they all pretty much had the same results. As for the long break in period, I was talking about my S&W Sigma 9mm
  9. Well come to the XJ club. I have a 94 Cherokee as well. The 4.0L is bulet proof, but since it is only 2wd, that part of it sucks. Word of warning, don't get the idea of ever switching it to 4x4. Pretty much everything will need to be replaced from the transmission to the axles. If you want to do that, find a junk one with 4x4 and swap in your 4.0L.
  10. I have owned a Hi-Point 9mm and honestly it wasn't that bad of a gun. Yes they are cheap, ugly and heavy but what do you expect with a gun at that price. And the most important thing is, it never let me down. Everytime I pulled the trigger, it went bang. Which is what a gun is suppose to do. I have the S&W Sigma 9mm now and it is a big improvement over the Hi-Point. Like others have said, it does have a heavy trigger pull, but through out the years and changes to the series, it has gotten better. I have put about 2000 rounds through mine in the past year and either trigger has gotten better or I am just getting use to it. They are honestly not bad guns. They just have a longer break in period than most guns do.
  11. I know there is a place in the Indian Mound Mall Newark/Heath mall that does that. It looks kind of cool, but I have never done it while I was there.
  12. Desert Eagle makes a .50. I shot one at Ohio Valley Outdoors. It is a cannon
  13. The Sigma series has had a lot of changes through out the years. The trigger pull is still heavy, but much lighter compared to when they first came out. Also the more you shoot them, it does lighten up. I have put about 2,000 rounds through my Sigma 9mm and the trigger pull has gotten much lighter then when I first got it.
  14. Well I would say no. Vance's has the S&W M&P 9mm and 40 brand new for $429.99 after a $50 mail in rebate. Plus it comes with a case, 5 magazines, holster and magazine pouch. So if you can pay the $479.99 now and wait for the $50 rebate, you are going to come out ahead. I have never shot the M&P 9mm, but I have shot the 45 version. It is a smooth gun for the price. Now if you want to go a little cheaper, I have the S&W Sigma 9mm. I paid $299.99 for it last year. At Vances they have it for the same price but it also gets the $50 rebate, making it $249.99. Comes with a case and I think 3 or 4 magazines.
  15. I have an Associates in Accounting and I pretty much walked into a job 6 years ago as the Accounts Payable person. Since then, I have worked my way from AP to Accounts Receivable and now I am the Accounting Clerk. Experience is key but it is hard in the field of Accounting. A good thing to be knowledgable in is of course customer service, Windows, and Excel. Most accounting systems are ran through Windows, so if you can understand Microsoft programs, you will be fine.
  16. I read this somewhere earlier this week. That is cool. Maybe now I will actually make it up there. Heck for $103 you couldn't drive up and with today's gas prices.
  17. LOL that is good. I had my fair share of replys like that when I was selling my old PSOne on there this past year.
  18. Papa Joe's, Fox's Den, are not too bad. I also like Hungry Howies but none in Westerville/Worthington. I know there is one down on campus and one up in Powell that I drive to for pizza. Flavored crust FTMFW
  19. Last nights wasn't anything specail. I think the mens Eliminator was a fix. The white boy had that one.

    Hike-In Camping?

I love Hike-in Camping, but I haven't done it since I was in Boy Scouts. And we always seemed to stay on the Camp Falling Rock Boy Scout Camp. There were always plenty of places to go there.
  21. I may watch the first one, but I don't have any hopes for this show at all.
  22. LOL, wow that brought back a lot of memories watching that show as a kid. I catch the originals on ESPN Classic everyonce in a while, but it is funny to have the show back. I will be watching all of them. LOL
  23. LOL that is funny. People are just too greedy. As soon as I would have enough to buy a decent house, I would walk.
