  1. Looking for a complete Ls swap. Truck 5.3 is fine. I want a 60le trans with it out of a truck. Need ecm and wiring and all accessories.

I'm swapping my P38 range and also developing a ls swap kit for p38 rovers and there isn't one on the market.

Check FB marketplace, I've seen quite a few 4.8/5.3 full dropouts available.

  2. Actually, of all people, my grandma has started taking CBD oil. She has chronic insomnia, and for the first time in probably decades, she sleeps completely through the night.
  3. Did you ever decide on that seat setup or brake lines? I need some of your Legacy cash for mine. 👀

Ha ha undecided still at the moment. I am still keeping it in mind! Haven't decided if the project is on hold for this year or not. May buy a house first.

  4. Amazing! I keep throwing around buying something like a Mustang (a few years older though) to buy as an all around reliable fun toy. They seem to be alright at everything. I had the realization that every second my Porsche isn't done is a second I am not autocrossing/doing track days/whatever.
  5. The only really noticeable glitch I have had is with the home screen animations. Sometimes when I unlock my phone, it flashes a bunch of pages over and over again until I lock/unlock again.
  6. That Wiki mind-fucked me haha. Damn I suck at this stuff.

Thanks man- yeah, the guy at MC last night talked a lot about the Thunderbolt option but again, IDK wtf that is. So basically if I want to run things with a regular USB (my printer), I need a this?: https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Compatible-MacBook-Chromebook-Galaxy/dp/B07449RJV8/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1527770747&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=USB+C+to+USB&psc=1

If you aren't going to use a dock, then yes.

  7. *USB Type-C

And since you bought an XPS, you also have the option of Thunderbolt via USB Type-C, which would get you some additional features should you choose one.

At work I’m using the the Dell TB-15 Thunderbolt dock because i was having issues driving 2 1200p displays with the regular Dell WD-15 dock. That said, we have lots of people with just 1080p displays that have XPS’s that are using the WD-15 dock just fine.

The WD-15 dock has a much longer Type C cable on it than the TB-15 dock does, if that matters as well.

  8. Windshield place on corner of Morse rd and Westerville road. Half the price of safe lite. They do good work

This place! They have done work on several of my cars, great pricing and excellent work! If it’s a particularly expensive piece of glass like a quarter glass, they will look around for used ones if you choose.

  9. Thanks for all the info again guys. I'm leaning towards one of the Dell 2-1 systems, and am 100% okay with going with something from the outlet, including Refurbs. Once again, the problem is, I just don't know what the fuck I'm looking at.

Like looking at these, why are there 3 models for $935, one of which is 2TB (non-refurb) of SATA HD and the other 128 GB of SATA HD (refurb)...like why would those be the same price? Not sure what I'm missing.

One is a Solid State Drive, the other is a mechanical hard drive. Never buy anything with a mechanical hard drive. If you need large storage, get an external hard drive. Solid state drives are what make a computer feel "fast".

Also disclaimer: Can't speak to the reliability of the Inspiron line.

  10. I'm still permanently scared by my (personal and work) experiences from ~10 years ago.

I don't know what field you work in, but you can't have this mentality in IT. Things improve over time. You are doing yourself and your company a disservice if you don't regularly check what is going on out of your echo chamber. I fight this every day from old timers who don't want to pull their heads out of their asses to see if we could be saving money and/or improving our end user experience.

Example: The Dell XPS's from around 6 or 7 years ago were hot garbage, but the ones that they have now are arguably the best laptops on the market for power and portability. I had an uphill battle to prove that technology progresses to "BUT A LONG TIME AGO [insert where the bad man touched you here]" types. Now? All of our users are madly in love with them and we have a stack of request for them a mile high.

  11. I do actually have a Surface Pro 3 now that I've used on occasion. I just don't know that any of the Surface Pro's have the ability to doc and be a main hub computer...is that the case now? Can I hook a monitor up to it when I'm at my desk?

But just like everything else with a Surface Pro, it is glitchy and breaks down all the time.

  12. Surface Pro's have tons of random issues all the time, the latest being bricked by the 1803 update. We had lots of them in service and almost all of them have been turned back in because people are sick of the little issues it has.

For your budget you have a ton of options. You could get a really nice Dell XPS. If you need a tablet, there is also the Dell XPS 2 in 1. We have had 0, ZERO, issues in production with any of our XPS' and we have a big mix of them (13's, 15's, 2 in 1's).

  13. Hopefully you got a turbo transaxle,

Turbo transaxle or 968 trans would cost more than the car, the swap, and a turbo kit combined. Fuck that, I would rather shred transaxles.

There is a company that sells a drop in LSD for the NA transaxle, so I’ll pick one of those up at some point.

  14. Another gun owner here who is fine with this. When I first saw bumpstocks years ago, I couldn't believe they were legal even at the time.

Besides, I have a Yugo SKS that can randomly malfunction and turn itself full auto at any time as it is.
