This is the very reason I didn't go into the Automotive industry. I like working on cars, but just my cars, not other people's. When I worked in a shop, I all ever heard all day long was the techs bitch about how other people's cars are pieces of shit, this, that. I knew that if I became a tech or something, I would quickly be drained of the will to work on my own stuff.

I like talking about and thinking about cars when the time is right for it. There is nothing i hate more than someone who comes up to me at a party or something and won't fucking shut up about "Is the MR2 finished yet? When are you going to swap EJXX into your Subaru? Did you pick up that Datsun yet?". There is a time and a place to talk about cars, and it usually sets itself up. Don't get me wrong, I love cars, but they aren't EVERYTHING to me.

Really you might want to think about another car. The Stratus will be ok for just getting started, but I think she will outgrow it quickly. She really should also take the school at the beginning of the season, the instructors tell you how to read the cones and what lines to take in a given situation. On top of that, you get a shitload of runs.
