There are a few of us here into road racing. Crossle, craig71188, and myself just crewed for a team at the Longest Day of Nelson 24 hour endurance race this last weekend. craig71188 is an experienced road racer, and could probably help you out.

I have an HP laptop that I bought for not a lot of money. It isn't great, but I use it for school to take notes and browse the web, as well as watch movies and videos. I only bought it because I couldn't afford a Macbook Pro at the time, which is what I really wanted. I like the fact that I could run both Windows and OS X on a machine with ease, natively. If all you want is OS X, you can run it on a PC with some less than legal software, or you could what Dan said and install a Linux distribution and get the same look and feel.

I just listen to their music, and the only thing I have watched and/or read in recent memory has been Wangan Midnight. I read it a few years ago, and they came out with the show, so I was watching that. The name is more a reference to my love of the Z car.
