  1. NEW NEW Price for CR $1500!

Had to repost because I couldn't edit my old thread.

    Good:

Motor has been gone through by me.

    - New Head gaskets, Improved MLS Design gaskets, much less prone to failure

    - New Cam Seals

    - New Timing Belt

    - New Timing Kit

    - New Water Pump

    - New Intake Manifold Gaskets

    - New Plugs

    - New Wires

    - New Clutch/Pressure Plate/Throwout Bearing

    - Valves Adjusted

    - Cold AC, Professionally Recharged and leak checked

    - Fresh Fluids with Subaru Oil Filter

    - Very Clean body for a Subaru of this age, has very little rust

    - Alloy Legacy wheels with tires that have great tread life left

    - Has Factory Rubber Cargo mat in the hatch area

    Bad:

    - Previous owner had cheap tint, its bubbling in places

    - It does have a small rust spot like mentioned above (pic below), but if you know anything about Subarus from around this time period, it is comparatively incredibly clean to most others

    - Car makes a weird grinding noise off power in gear, could be brakes from sitting, could be tranny, don't know, but the car runs and drives great anyway

Mileage: 206k on the chassis, but the motor is probably closer to 150k. Mileage is not really a huge deal on Subarus as long as the maintenance items have been taken care of.

This car should make a great daily or winter beater for someone. All of the typical Subaru problems should be completely taken care of. Enjoy that Winter time god mode!

  2. 1990 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale with the FE3 package, it was free from a family friend. I actually don't remember what happened to the car, if it blew up or what, but its what I drove until I switch to my dad's GMC Vandura for a while and sold that to get my first sports car, the 87 MK1 MR2 that I had.
  3. I would like to correct this statement. Not every PS3 can play PS1 & PS2 games. only those with the "emotion engine" chip could play all PS2 and some PS1 games via the hardware. I believed they scrapped the whole backwards compatibility in 2008 right before they released the slim versions and killed Linux support.

I miss booting to Yellow Dog Linux on mine =(

"However, all versions of the PS3 are able to play PS1 games."

  4. The original fat PS3 were supposed to play PS2 games and I think??? PS1 games. The remodeled skinny console took away this option because Sony is a bag of dicks. Thanks Sony for making me buy every system. Funny my original PSX STILL FUCKING WORKS. Why couldn't you use those lasers in your other consoles ?

Not exactly correct. Any of the PS3's can play PS1 games, but the original PS3 literally had the hardware of an entire PS2 in it in addition to the PS3's hardware. Sony took it away because the PS3 was originally $600 and no one bought it, and even at that price point Sony lost money on every single unit sold. They tried emulation for a while which sort of worked, but they eventually scrapped it. Hackers have made progress getting it to work again, though.

  5. Congrats man! Doing that myself! I lost 50 lbs in 2014. I overcame my fear of the gym and signed up for one for the first time in my life. I really had no idea what I was doing, so I was paying for personal training for a while. It got too expensive, so I had to go it alone for a few weeks. I luckily met a fellow Subaru guy who has become my workout partner every day and knows what he is doing. The working in the gym is the easy part, its keeping my eating in check thats been a struggle for me. My boss convinced me to join weight watchers at work, and that starts next week. I am hoping that will be the key to lose the other 30-60 lbs I would like to remove this year and be a truly healthy weight for the first time in my life.
