  3. Was wondering if anyone had any small form factor video cards lying around. Doesn't need to be anything super special, just something good enough to assist with playing videos. Thanks.

  8. 2 years wasn't that long ago, and its 1GB, not 1 TB.... Here is a pretty solid test of the load it can take off of a CPU. Yeah, its an older Pentium Dual Core, but it helps show the results. Photoshop also supports GPU acceleration, and I have been told it helps a lot. I guess the point I am trying to make is why skimp...
  9. Negative. Many, many, many applications take advantage of graphics cards now, especially for video watching. Flash is one that comes to mind.
  10. Saw, rather surprisingly, about 8 of these things in Michigan over the weekend on the way to and from Sno*Drift.
  11. The thought has crossed my mind to build one from another cabinet that was missing the boards inside. A Neogeo cabinet, that is, not a MAME cabinet. The MVS system itself uses a universal JAMMA connector, and its fairly cheap. Lots of Arcade machines use JAMMA connectors, so converting them to Neogeo or really anything that uses JAMMA is fairly simple. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Amusement_Machinery_Manufacturers_Association
  12. Especially for Miatas, might be worth giving it a shot, Eman.
  13. I was looking at their site, they have a couple for sale, but they want a small fortune, and it looks like they put multi-carts in them, as in carts that have pirate games on them. The MVS carts they have for sale are pretty fairly priced, though. Edit: Er, it looks like I was looking at the wrong TNT Amusements website, I will try to call number you listed.
  14. There was a Neo Geo home console called the NeoGeo AES. It had almost the exact same hardware as the MVS on the inside, however the AES is far more expensive than buying an MVS. Interesting history here, when the AES came out, SNK realized that in order to market to home gamers, they had to reduce the cost of the cartridges. The MVS uses cartridge too. SNK, to prevent Arcade owners from buying the cheaper AES cartridges, made them slightly smaller, even though internally the cartridges had the same chips and stuff. History has caused the prices to flip flop. MVS carts are dirt cheap compared to AES carts, we are talking $30-$50ish dollars for MVS carts vs hundreds of dollars for AES carts. There are even adapters now that let you play MVS carts in an AES home console.
  15. I have been trying to track down a Neo Geo MVS arcade cab, preferably somewhere where it won't cost a fortune (most don't, but occasionally you have the asshole that thinks he found the Holy Grail). Just wanted to know if anyone knew anyone with one around Central Ohio, even in State somewhere. Doesn't even really matter which version either, there is a single cart version, a 2 cart version, a 4 cart version, and a 6 cart version. Even between those, there are different sizes of cabs too.
  16. I wouldn't call it a beater, but, 98 Forester. This is one of the only pictures I have of the entire car, this is right before we did the head gaskets on it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/7706f163.jpg
  17. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/MegamanEXE/14273ded.jpg These are all people calling for my dad, and those are just the people that left messages, there are many more who just called repeatedly, and left no message. The number at the top, I got the guy to give me some information. He mentioned vinylinteractiveschool.com, but he said thats all he could give me.
  18. I'm already on the Do Not Call list, have been for years. They are saying that we requested for the information.
  19. Update, I am getting more calls. Another thing I forgot to mention is that the people calling are all reporting that the requests for information were put in online, and I just found out they haven't been looking for me. They have been looking for my Dad, who passed away years ago. I just got another one from the University of Phoenix.
  20. For the past 2 days, I have been receiving phone calls from various different insurance companies saying that I put in a request for a quote on Life Insurance or Home Owners Insurance. When they call, they say they have all of my information, and they verify my address and everything. I, obviously, have not put in a request for any of these things. Anyone know why this would be happening? My paranoid side automatically jumps to ID theft, but I have never fallen for such things as phishing sites or the like. The last time I gave out my social was when I was trying to get a loan a couple weeks back.
  21. LGT Nothing wrong with the 5 speeds anymore.
