  3. I was payrolled via Adecco a while back and when I filled out the paperwork there were about 15 people applying for Honda. They had some "difficult" math test to take and everyone was failing it. what is 1/2 + 1/4=? stuff like that. so watch out for the math test.
  4. http://www.nmfn.com/danielneary <--This is my guy. Tell him Jason Kent sent you and he'll take you out for lunch.
  5. I have seen 1-3" and I have seen 6-10". Either way the media is prepping for SNOWMAGEDDON 2007. I have to fly to San Jose on Wednesday so I hope it isn't too bad.
  6. State of Minnesota has thousands of miles of trails that the state maintains. When you are 12 you can get your snowmobile lic. Imagine 12 years old and are just as mobile as anyone. My ski-doo 300 didn't go very fast, but it could go anywhere.
  7. Sorry to bring this up again if it already has been but... I am thinking of changing my rewards strategy to maximize frequent flyer miles/gift cards. Citi Premiere Pass Elite is what I am leaning towards. Anyone have experience with this? Anyone have another card suggestion? I have a Delta AMEX and US Airways Visa. I primarily fly US Airways due to status and the places I go. So, lets hear it, what rewards strategy do you use, what cards do you like?
  8. They are out there but rare. I work on networking gear all the time and need a console port. Seems more and more you need a USB to Serial inverter.

    Job Interview

Has anyone on here been flown out for a job interview? I am being flown to California for a job interview at the HQ of a company I am interested in. I will still be here, working from my house and travelling all over the world. Just wondering if anyone has been flown to a job interview and opinions on whether this put you on unequal footing having zero home field advantage.

  13. I think it was shrimp and scallops, or maybe just scallops. Either way it was food poisoning, no doubt.
  14. Just WOW. As a parent this is especially touching to me because it shows exactly what you would do for your kids.
  15. They are owned by the same company as outback so, whatever outback has they have. They do have a pretty good bar but my wife got food poisoning the last time we went there.
  16. Had mine done at Lasik Plus on the east side. Go back thru this thread and really read all of the posts from people that have had it done. You must get the right laser for your problem.
  17. It was good to see .com's having super bowl commercials again. I loved the rock-paper-scissors bud-light commercial. Coke had some cool commercials too but I am not sure I understand, are they really introducing themselves like no one knows who they are?
  18. I used to live in Minnesota. -30 isn't unusual this time of year. I remember standing at the bus stop in full on snowmobile gear waiting for the bus. And we didn't have a stop at every house, just every neighborhood.
  19. underwater connection
  20. I would be happy to purchase these products from you as I have seen your work and know the quality. I would caution that this would be seasonal to an extreme and would probably not do well in the winter. But, after two full years of sales you would probably know exactly where your investment would be. The only other suggestion I would have is to create a class on how to use the products. Think Pampered Chef or Avon, only for marketted toward guys (cuz we don't have one). This is exactly the business I have been developing in concept but didn't have a product.
  21. Pacemakers is a leased facility. The guy that ran up until last year got cancer. Last year it did pretty well and as long as that lease is generating money for the owner it will be there.
  22. estigators at the University of Alberta have recently reported that a drug previously used in humans for the treatment of rare disorders of metabolism is also able to cause tumor regression in a number of human cancers growing in animals. This drug, dichloroacetate (DCA), appears to suppress the growth of cancer cells without affecting normal cells, suggesting that it might not have the dramatic side effects of standard chemotherapies. At this point, the University of Alberta, the Alberta Cancer Board and Capital Health do not condone or advise the use of dichloroacetate (DCA) in human beings for the treatment of cancer since no human beings have gone through clinical trials using DCA to treat cancer. However, the University of Alberta and the Alberta Cancer Board are committed to performing clinical trials in the immediate future in consultation with regulatory agencies such as Health Canada. We believe that because DCA has been used on human beings in Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials of metabolic diseases, the cancer clinical trials timeline for our research will be much shorter than usual. From http://www.depmed.ualberta.ca/dca/ <-- They aren't saying they cured it they are saying they have good research and need to begin clinical trials.
