I'm willing to travel up to 6hrs driving, one way. A day trip basically. I'd prefer a Camaro, and m6, but will settle for anything, no vert's though. Really prefer no ttop either, but again,I'll settle. I really don't want to spend over $7500 on the car itself, so I have money for registration/ins/anything it needs right off the bat, etc.

Yeah, that'd be nice, I agree, I hate wasting money and have done it on so many previous cars. I just called on one and the guy said he sold it yesterday!! Damn! It looked clean too. Oh well, the search continues... I'm on ls1tech, craigslist and autotrader, any other ideas?

Definitely man, but you might want to figure out fast, because I think he's talking about canceling it this week if not enough entrants. I'd even give you $50 or whatever for gas to run it etc, it'd just be fun to get out there.

Thanks Ant, in your expierence does a lightly modded ls1 benefit from a tune? Light mods like... lid, lt's, gears, cutout, tires. I want to check out deejay's z28 this week hopefully.

What about a v6 camaro and turbo/supercharging it? What can those motors hold? Reason I ask is I see 98-00 v6 camaros in great shape all day for $4grand, maybe they will take less. That leaves me with plenty of money to boost it.

I've found a good looking bike that seems like a decent deal and I want to go check it out. He says its a 99 SV650, 5300miles, and is asking $3500. Its blue in the pictures and looks nice. Would this be a comfortable street bike and good first bike? I know this is a stupid question, but are they fast? Just wondering if I do buy it and after I get comfortable riding it I don't want to be bored. Also, any known problems or things I should check out on bikes? Well I already know a Mach1 and 03/04 Cobra is out of my price range. I'm really not wanting to take a car loan out so I only want to spend $10k max. I KNOW I can find a fbody in that range, and a 96-98 Cobra, but not sure about the 99/01 Cobras. I'd really like to pick up DeeJay's, but I don't think he'd let it go cheap enough to make it worthwhile to me for having all the work done on it needed.

I am, but the price seems high to me. I'm working with cash and could buy on the spot, but again, price seems high to me. And I'm not realy feeling the purple effects or the cracked bumper.

What's it take for a GT to run with a stock ls1 fbody? Just curious, I'm in a position where I want to purchase a 'sports' car and these are the two common ones. Obviously the ls1 is quicker, but how much so and what would it take to a mustang to keep up/pull on it? Reason being is stangs are cheaper/more abundant compared to fbodies, but if I've gotta spend $2grand or whatever just to run with a STOCK ls1, then I can adjust my price qualms a bit. obviously, this would only apply to a stick vs stick car and and auto vs auto car, not one against the other. thanks
