  1. Already got her rollerblades as well as we've recently picked up rollerskating more frequently at the rink, and she's been asking for some.
  2. Yep, she is. Got a new bike last summer, and still plenty of growing room for her. We do family rides quite often and on longer ones she has a tag-a-long that attaches to mine. She already does gymnastic, ballet/tap, soccer, basketball, t-ball, and just about whatever she wants, all at differing times of the year of course. Got a swing set a few years back, has a climbing wall, slide, 2 swings, a gymnast bar, and a 2 person glider. So yeah, she's pretty set on all those fronts, like I said I'm just expanding on ideas and trying to think of something new/fun/cool. A trampoline always sounds exciting to me, even being an adult, and we go to some indoor trampoline parks occasionally, but I thought it'd be a fun thing to have in the back yard when its nice out, plus its easily shared. She may end up getting a power wheels w/ the 24v mod instead. She found a blue MINI she likes..or both since i did find a couple trampolines for $50 on craigslist. I figure at that price its a throwaway. I'll test it out before buying, and if it lasts a month or two great, at least i'll see how interested in it she is, and then decide if she needs a real nice one.
  3. The summer camp I went to growing up had this, it was pretty sweet but I don't think I want to tear up my yard for it. LOL.
  4. Yeah, we've both got good bikes, as well as one that attaches on back of mine that she can pedal along for longer rides. We ride quite often, just looking for some new toys/things to do as well.
  5. Like a power wheels? Yeah she wants one and I've thought about it, but from what I read online they are really only intended for kids up to like 7, so i think i missed the boat by not getting her one a couple years ago. She did have like a powerwheels ATV thing, but she wants a barbie jeep or something.
  6. Ugh....Decisions, Decisions....I know I want one personally, and have always wanted one, but at the same time my daughter did recently injure her knee just on the playground and we ended up at children's for an xray/mri/orthapedic surgeon...FML that wasn't cheap. Thanks for all the info, pretty much what I assumed. Any other ideas for sweet birthday gifts for a 6 year old?
  7. Yeah, I'm on the fence. I'd definitely get one w/ the safety net, and just about anything is dangerous now, so where to draw the line? I know I still enjoy jumping on a trampoline, and the far and few places that do have them my daughter loves them too...
  8. Thinking about getting my daughter a trampoline and am finding them for a variety of prices, and debating on new or used. I've never had one, only had a couple friends growing up that did, so I'm in the dark about all this. Should I even consider a used one, they don't seem to hold their value very well. I just don't know what to watch out for, or the average lifespan of one. As far as new ones go, I know of Toys R Us, and Sams Club, possibly Costco and Walmart, but I would like to think of this as a long term investment, something she will be able to enjoy for years, and so I'm willing to pay for quality. Also, what's a good size? 8ft/10ft/12ft/14ft/15ft? Etc?? She's young now but in 10 years I'd want her to be able to use with friends still but 15ft just sounds huge. TIA.
  9. Any kit cars? Like Cobra or Lotus? Looks like a good time.
  10. What's it weigh? LOL my car's got a hitch.
  11. How wide/deep is the filing cabinet? Any pics?
  12. Are labs typically known to be good with kids? any idea how big he will get?
  13. I'm driving up with a few friends Sat night, we got a hotel for under $70, split a few ways isn't bad. We didn't feel like having to get up at 4-5am just to drive 170miles, so we'll be staying about 9 miles away.
  14. street legal slicks.....or stop streetlight racing it? LOL. What d/r's do you have now? I support just deep dish wheels factory style wheels if you have the 5 spokes polished.
  15. Hot! Glad you picked those out of all the ones I linked, perfect car for them. How low are you dropping it?
  16. Yep, wobble bolts handled multiple burnouts/track passes and high speed runs without issue. I went from 4x110 axle to 4x108 wheels with them. Here are some sweet wheels.... Ultraleggeras....19's but sexy.... http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/2341861657.html Cheap decent looking chrome wheels, they remind me of oem mercedes AMG wheels I think... http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/2370072776.html And these are classic bbs wheels, i've seen them on the saabs before.... http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/2334110114.html http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4022/4239028598_a9bf22f8f3.jpg
  17. I used it yesterday and got $40 off my $115 order. Thanks!
  18. Cool. I understand lapping but passing is allowed in designated areas correct? I just don't want to be constantly stuck behind someone that isn't comfortable/able to push the limits of their car.
  19. Is this going on rain or shine? If not what's the refund info? Where is everyone staying Saturday night? Any hotels I should avoid? What's the dress code? Do you need long pants like drag racing, tennis shoes ok? Etc etc? I'd really like an instructor ride along at least one of my passes, I've never done it and although I am comfortable driving at speed, I'm sure there are improvements I can make. How can I make that happen? I understand Nelson Ledges isn't responsible if you wreck your car into a wall or something, but what happens if another driver wrecks into me? Do I just sue him if he doesn't cough up the money right then? I'm assuming our regular car insurance is invalid on a track? Not necessarily for the event, but prior plans and will definitely help... 17's w/ 235/45's Springs/Struts/Shocks Alignment Larger rear sway bar New bushings here and there Flush fluids New pads and rotors Ready to have a good time for my first outing.
  20. Why must it be such a large group? If anything I think that would be a negative for this type of situation.
  21. Where are the factory blades or meshies? The wheels are the only thing that ruin the car. GLWS, I sold my 97 GSR Sedan last year w/ 101k, miss it all the time.
  22. +1, they are 14 second cars even with minor mods.
