  1. i guess im just debating on if i should hire an attorney for an injury like this, and give up ~30% of my settlement or if i should try to handle it myself...

Our stats show the increase in atty rep'd settlement is minimal, certainly dosen't make up for the 1/3. the positive to an atty is you don't have to deal with anything.

  2. I don't handle injury's that go that far in treatment. I will settle minor inj claims, but like the dr said if it goes on too long you have to have supporting evidence that it was nec and we have reps that work specifically with that. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you over pm.
  3. I hate allstate with a passion. by far the worst insurance company!

We did send it certified mail. Certain companies have a history of this. Auto Owners, Ohio Mutual, and Allstate are known for this activity. They do this to make providers think twice about treating injured people, therefore decreasing the overall case cost .
  4. yep great card. best I have seen in a long time. fight of the night will be silva vs jackson. going to be interesting to see what jackson looks like. and i hope forrest beats the crap out of evans.
  5. i guess my question is why didnt the insurance company pay you directly? was the patient at fault or was the other party involved at fault? it sounds like if he got a settlement, the other party was at fault. shoulda got the claim # and submitted it to them.

+1 as an insurance company we pay all the bills directly to the provider. I would call the insurance company. Did you send the signed committment to them? I get them all the time.

  6. you have to have faith in the system. jury's don't just get appointed...both attorney's have to approve each member to insure they feel they are fair and impartial.

besides, it's not what the media is calling him that they are going to look at....the facts and statements will be what they look at.

i have no faith in the system.......

  7. This thread is pretty long, I read the first page or so. The person being charged was racing but not the one that wrecked correct? If so I feel bad for the dude and hope things turn out ok for him.

no he was "alegedly" racing. thats the problem I have with this whole situation. NO ONE knows if they were actually racing or not. from what I have read in the news, the accident happen after an attempted race. which wouldn't be in the act of racing.

  8. you willing to part with these parts?

    -New LS7 clutch

    -Use Cam (233/239, 595/.603 112 LSA)

    -New Hardened push rods

    -New High flow oil pump

    -New LS2 timing chain

    -New 160* stat

I might be interested in everything but the clutch, but I know someone that needs a clutch. let me know prices.

  9. pdqgp - might as well give up. Guys these charges are for real. read the law. these are charges that weren't just thrown together, I can garuntee they were well thought out. I am not a law scholar and I know that if I was street racing and my compition killed someone I would be going down. I completly DISAGREE with the law, but its the law.

How many times does tim have to post the law lang and prove this case meets all the req? We all may not agree with it, but thats what it is.

I think the key to this whole situation is going to be whether they can prove they were actually racing that night. Personally I don't see it happening, as brandon would have been given a citation for streetracing. But arguing with Tim for 9 pages isn't proving anything.
