When I bought my Altima, I told my wife I was buying it and weighed the pro's and con's about it with her.... I never asked, but involving her in the entire process (as well as taking her down to the dealership and letting her test drive it also) really made the whole car buying process better since I got home and Wifey was happy about the purchase as well.... now if it's a 500 dollar beater, just tell her.... let her know what you are wanting to do with it and be done with it. If they can go out and blow 200 dollars on getting their hair and nails done once a month, what does a 500 dollar purchase once a year really mean? A bunch of smaller purchases still add up to just as much if not more than one big purchase.

no I dont have to sell it. just pointless to own 2 houses. I would consider renting it out to the right person

I saw info about this a while back.... they supposedly have one that can drive from Cali to NY on one tank of gas... the air compressor runs on gas and the air tanks are made of carbon Fiber.... I'm pretty sure that they could hit highway speeds and looked nothing like what was pictured in this link.
