I've registered but I mostly fly out at my place in the country.... only thing I have to worry about is crop dusters during that season, other than that... no problem. If you want to fly in a safe place as long as people aren't tearing up my property and know how to fly so they don't fly into my buildings, they are more than welcome flying here if they want to take the drive.
  2. 7 days free trial, if you can't take 2 minutes to sign up for the free trial then you don't deserve it's awesomeness ..... seriously best site I've ever used for HD streaming that works with all my tv addon's like firestick, roku, etc.... BTW, it also streams new movies as well... so up to date tv shows and new movie streaming and if you get in on one of their specials, it's 69.99 a year.... can't beat it.

  8. supposedly 20,000 hours. Same as LED bulbs
  9. Smart Blinds are for sure on my list for the future as well... I would have to say my wifi enabled Honeywell t-stat seems much more customizable than the Nest. At least it was when I purchased it a year ago. The problem with Hue bulbs is if the lights are on a switched outlet, you have to leave the switches in the on position all the time which can be difficult if there is more than just you in the house thus the WeMo switches solve that problem.
  10. plus then your smart things hub has an app so you have a central place to control things from your smart phone if you want to do it remotely or don't want to speak. I use it to run on and off different lights in the house if I'm not home or I know I'm on my way home so I don't come home to a dark house.
  11. I have a Honeywell WIFI enabled t-stat... works much better in my opinion than the nest. If you have 3 way switches (which you will in any hallway or kitchen area), you will need to get a smart things hub and z-wave switches. for 1 post switches, I got the WeMo switches as they were the most simple to setup and cheapest. Plugs, I again uses WeMo and for smart bulbs I used tp-link bulbs as they were the best for the price smart bulb I could find. I'm still trying to work through finding an adapter that I can hook to my current security system to enable it. If you are looking for security cameras that are built into your lights, I suggest Kuna which is integratabtle into Alexa. Be careful though, this is a slippery slop as things start getting really expensive really quickly. If you have any questions, let me know, I just went through automating my house and ended up doing a lot of rewiring to make everything work as expected.
  12. Find someone I don't like and draw a big dildo in their front yard with it
  13. It's been almost 6 years since the last update... what's going on with this? Hard to believe Kenny has been gone so long.
  14. lol A clapper that is way more intuitive, can answer weather, sports, news, movie times, etc... plus turn on and off any light configured, open and close the garage door, lock the house doors or unlock them, adjust the climate control, play music, read audio books, etc... It's the first step toward robots taking over the world and the Gov stealing more personal info about us.
  15. Good! Honestly, that could easily be an invasion of privacy if they didn't.... I didn't realize it was recording all the time, I figured it was in some sort of standby unless it heard the key word... similar to siri and good with "hey Siri" or "ok google"
  16. You have to use the Alexa app on your phone to get it to pair, are you doing that?
  17. nope, the box has to be programmed...
  18. what speaker do you use? The one I'm using is battery powered and has a wall plug but will only charge when powered off so I can only use the speaker for 10 hours without turning it off
  19. lol, I would but wife needs the SUV, we live in the country, so I need a truck, I'm upside down in the SHO, and the hybrid I got for dirt cheap and I need the 45mpg to get to work since I drive over 100 miles a day for work... I'd love to. but the Camaro isn't an economical DD in Ohio especially as far as I live from work.
  20. Ya, I had to connect an external speaker but it's a huge PITA to have to turn the speaker on and pair it when we want to use it.
  21. I can't get over how much better the speaker is in the echo than the dot
  22. You are absolutely right... It just goes to show how long I've been out of the PCT game as I've forgotten simple things like this. anyways, I removed the adapter and I plugged it right into my IDE to USB adapter. Thanks for the help!
  23. if that was my keyfob then no way would I let someone butcher it for any reason including remote start.. that would just seem silly and wasteful.
