  1. take it to MadHatter and see what they can do for you
  2. I 2nd Arrow.... They sell to Microcenter under the name Red Rabbit
  3. It seems odd that the lady was shot and yet she was still able to run away ... just goes to show people typically don't die at first after being shot. Sad to think about that she probably realized that she was shot and knew what was coming.
  4. man dude, you go through cars like no ones business

My team was one of the first teams at Nationwide to adopt AGILE principles (now everyone has or will be going through it) but my team has also had one of the higher turnover rates in the past few years... number one answer as to why when asked... AGILE... complaints it takes too much time, etc... The stand ups are fine I guess (although I already know what my team is doing... why? because I'm good at what I do and I work with my team mates already) but the iterations, the boards, the paperwork, and the INSANE amount of meetings all stemming from AGILE makes my job take 300 times longer to accomplish... I'm just a paper pusher anymore instead of an Engineer...
  6. LOL, I'm just a guy who has interviewed a lot of people. Giving the guy a leg up on what to expect and do is positive, not negative... but then again, I'm no doctor :-P
  7. dress slacks, button down shirt, tucked in, dress shoes, black socks... no tuxedo t-shirts... it's still an interview... whoever said jeans is crazy... if you came to an interview that I was running and you were wearing jeans, you would not get the job, no matter how good you are... it's about professionalism and jeans are never acceptable for an interview, even if it was tacobell

  10. Fuck that site... Noall Biderman making millions on destroying families... FUCK HIM
  11. This is a fun little plinker gun... just out of curiosity, does it have the barrel extension on it?
  12. I like Vegas Video... It's cheaper than the Adobe products
  13. and my Phantom will hit 1k+ all day long no questions asked.... and they are set to have a specific decent rate, so if I gotta get it out of the way in a hurry, I can't because it's locked to a decent rate of 2 feet per second... and it has a max flight speed of 32mph regardless, I won't take the risk of hurting anyone, so I just fly out in the country or I keep it below building height if I'm flying in the city... a hobby just isn't worth the risk of someone's life, regardless of how small.
  14. guidlines, not law.... just saying... the guidlines are in place because honestly above 400 feet, it gets hard to see and identify what's front and back, etc... and planes are much harder to fly... helicopters and quadcopters are easier to fly at higher altitudes just because you can stop and gain your bearings... I'm not suggesting it especially near a city as there could be an airport nearby and planes are coming in for landings...
  15. depends on the quad and the battery that's in it... my v262 has a stock 850 battery... that thing is lucky to get 10 minutes, my v393 is a 2700 battery, I'll get 10-15 minutes of flight time, my Phantom is a 5400 and I'll get 25 minutes of flight time. FYI, there's no laws on 400 feet in the air... that's the default set, but you can typically go about 1100 feet before your 2.4 or 5ghz remote runs out of range.
  16. My DJI Phantom does show air speed, altitude, and pretty much anything else I want to know. My cheaper quads do not show that info... there are laws about flying near airports... typical cheaper quads will fly to a max height of 400-800 feet... my DJI phantom by default has a max celing of 400 feet, but it can be modified... the record holder for height is just shy of 5,000 feet... But I'm going to be honest, that's too high and you aren't going to see it at that height anyways, nor will a standard 2.4ghz remote be able to contact, and once it falls out of range, it either flys home or just shuts off and falls out of the sky until it regains signal.
  17. BUMP, I have clean title in hand.
  18. if it's the streamed video, that would make sense... for FPV... regardless, I hope the shooter gets the book thrown at him, he makes the rest of us gun owners look bad.
  19. video is now blocked, I can't see it... I still don't condone his behavior... firing off a weapon period at someone else's property... I can only see a screenshot of the video and I can tell you from the video, it's a lower end model that probably does not have GPS... Wind can play a HUGE factor in their flying... a buddy of mine took his low end model to the park last weekend and called me frantic because it got away from him... he found it 3 blocks over crashed in someone's yard... If the operator was trying to spy on the guy, he'd choose a better device than a cheap one with a cheap-o camera. EDIT: I read the article and it say he was flying he DJI Phantom 3 which is not a cheapo quad... it also doesn't provide poor images like I see in the still screenshot... Here's a still shot of the 2 which is only 1080p compared to the stillshot that was provided... something seems a bit fishy to me... regardless, I stand by the guy has no business discharging a firearm at someone's property... or in a residential area. http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj196/smokin5s/phantom_zps8rtsocrg.jpg
  20. wish I wasn't poor... we need a new fridge.
  21. the nervousness goes away quick once you get the hang of things... In my back yard, the only think you have to worry about is my "man cave" (garage) and my daughter's play set... tons of open space that will make you a pro in no time.
  22. I figure for 20 bucks after shipping, it's worth a shot so I just ordered it... we'll see how it does... I don't have alot of faith in it, but we'll see I guess...
  23. about 500 foot of chain link fence... would look a bit ridiculous if I planted shit around the whole thing and would completely negate the entire point of fencing in the yard so the dogs and kids had a safe place to run.
  24. you should purchase a thin client like a WYSE device, and have it boot into your virtual environment.
