  1. Damn so tempting as I get more and more angry at my Avalanche sitting up on jack stands not running.
  2. if she's older, be VERY careful about post pardem... my wife was over 30 when we had our last and she suffered post pardem OCD BAD... like REALLY bad... The older she gets the worse it can get... be very cautious of this and be ready to take actions if needed.
  3. one of my co-workers is going through this... it's a long freaking road man. Sorry to hear this. I guess my sister's ex who has their kids lives really close to you guys because they were worried that their house was going to burn as well.
  4. It's funny how some things aren't a big deal for some people and a huge deal for others. It shows how kindness can go a long way. I agree about ways to meet new people. I like meeting and helping people from CR as well and having a garage with tools to do it is nice, it's just a hike and life is busy. BTW, I found part of your buddies nail clippers that fell apart under the truck last night lol.
  5. I totally agree... Bum's me out because we were going to swap out his O2 sensor in his car on my lift but time got away from us and his wife wanted him to get home before we finished the truck so we weren't able to swap out his O2. I'm hoping he's able to make it back out to my place so I can at least try to return the favor in a small way for his kindness.
  6. Not sure if this is the place to post it or not but I have to call out why I think CR is such an amazing place even after so many years. Ryan AKA Green Bastard came out to my house in the country yesterday with a buddy of his to help me get my truck back on the road. He didn't want anything for it besides my daughter to befriend his son (which now she's asking when he's coming back) and lunch which he offered to buy himself. Ryan and Nick are both just absolutely stand up guys and didn't want a dime from me and wrenched on my pain in the ass truck with me for a good 9 hours. Ryan even got in trouble with his wife and risked the tornado watch getting home afterwards (literally and figuratively for being so late lol) Thanks again to great guys for their help!
  7. dude, go 4k once you get 4k monitors you'll never want to go back.
  8. ok, so you're still where you were last time I was out at your house? I thought you guys were talking about moving but I might be mixing people up. Yes, I pulled the front drive shaft and the intake manifold trying to make more room.
  9. ya, all the rusted bolts are all out now so hopefully it's on the up swing at this point. I will say that that every time I get under it, I get showered with more rust, I don't know where it can all come from at this point. Where are you at now?
  10. cool, thanks. I don't think I'm doing anything with it this weekend. I need to take it easy as I'm in a ton of pain and want to at least get to the point where I can raise my arm to shoulder level. Plus it's my birthday weekend so we're going to have some family over and do a cookout and stuff
  11. pulling the intake manifold off made it easy to get to that bolt. the problem is, I cracked a rib so it's hard for me to lay on the top of the engine to reach most of that and like I said that guy tears shit up so I'd prefer for him to not come back. I would agree running that line behind the motor is tough. We cut and flared that 90 degree bend and I bought some fuel hose to join it in hopes that it would make it easier but it doesn't seem to make much difference. We also had to drop the tank as the pump had rusted out at the pipe and he destroyed the plastic lines. lifting that tank with a cracked rib isn't an easy task. It might just have to sit for a bit if I'm not able to get help. Living in the country has a ton of perks, this unfortunately is not one of them.
  12. I need an extra set of hands. I'm replacing the brake lines and fuel lines on my truck. I had a buddy helping me who I was paying and the guy just tore things up every time I turned my head and ended up costing me way more than the truck is even worth. At this point, I just need to finish getting the fuel and brake lines run, and get the gas tank and intake manifold put back in. Is anyone interested coming up to Marengo and helping me get this truck back together? PM me. This is in a Chevy Avalanche.
  13. Tim help me re-organize my garage...
  14. the question is, at what point do we pull out
  15. I went ahead and ordered them... I figure why not give it a shot, at this point, anything is worth a shot, I hate these little bastards.
  16. I wish, I put wire mesh up where they were getting in the rafters, then they just decided to perch on the truck, trailer, and ATV's instead, then this year aparently those little fuckers got themselves some wire cutters cause they have cut through some of the mesh and can get back in again. Guess I gotta get back up there and do some re-enforcement.
  17. these require sunlight though right? Under the lean-too it's all shade (it's a large lean-too 20x50) If it doesn't need shade but just the things spinning then hell, I'll buy 3 of them lol
  18. they are hurting things.... They shit on EVERYTHING... all over the side of the building, all over my truck, all over the trailer, ATV's, etc... bird shit ruins paint, especially if you don't get it right away
  19. I put wire mesh up, they found little cracks to get in the rafters in a few spots, but mostly they perch up on the roof racks of my truck or the tail gate of the trailer, That of course just makes piles of bird shit everywhere which is horrible
  20. So I've tried the usual fake Owls moving it around, putting up wire mesh and those wire spikes and birds keep landing in my lean too and shitting all over my truck and trailer. It's annoying and I was hoping someone has ideas on how to get these birds to move on and stop trying to make their homes under my lean-too.
  21. Come up to Morrow County and you won't see any service
  22. T-Mobile Is absolutely HORRIBLE... steer clear of them... if you leave them, they will send you to collections and then you have to fight to prove that you paid the bills and canceled when you did. It became a legal battle for me which was absolutely ridiculous. with that being said, I've had AT&T for 5 years now. Service has been great. We always have coverage, speed is fine and their pricing is competitive with other carriers.
