  1. Negative ghost writer.... STD's are different and this is not a moral argument in my opinion... drugs / alcohol in order to get better all you have to do is stop and you choose to continue doing it... if you have the "burning down unda" stop fucking isn't going to make it go away, you have to go through treatment, get medication, etc... HUGE difference. And I get you were joking about my dad's ring, but not cool man.
  2. Dude, you don't know me so you can't say if it actually affected my relationships or not. I've always had a great relationship with my children, Always gone to work every day, made sure food is on the table, roof over their heads, and flourished in my careers. I'm still married and my wife never has complained about my drinking. This is something that my body told me that was a problem. This again has nothing to do with the reality that drinking / drug abuse is a choice... my DISEASE is not. No one would ever choose to go through what I've gone through... the needles, the meds, the stays in the ICU, no one would ever choose it and if it was a choice of put the bottle down or go through it, they'd put the bottle or needle down or check them self into rehab. I'm not saying that getting clean isn't hard, its just not a disease. Here's the definition of disease... sure doesn't sound like what you're wanting it to be... a disorder of structure or function in a human, animal, or plant, especially one that produces specific signs or symptoms or that affects a specific location and is not simply a direct result of physical injury.
  3. my drinking never effected my relationships... and no, it's insane for you to think that a choice is a fucking disease... You can choose to never pick up the bottle again, I cannot choose to just stop chemo and it all goes away. BIG difference. ALCOHOLISM IS NOT A DISEASE, IT'S A CHOICE END OF STORY.
  4. I have close family members as well as friends who have gone down this path.... I completely agree with Mark, Addition is not a Disease and being someone who's actually suffering from a DISEASE that will kill me some day, I take great offense when a drug addict or alcoholic says that they have a disease... ummm no, you CHOOSE to pick up that needle, smoke 'X' or drink whatever... I never once chose my disease... that's the difference, and I have no pity when someone blames a disease instead of their life choices. Grow up. BTW, I used to drink way too much... my actual disease took that from me, I know if I drink, I die, guess what... haven't touched a drop in over 2 years now. I do what I have to in order to stay alive and see my kids grow and I don't ever say my drinking was a disease... because it was my choice, nothing else and now I choose to live.
  5. typically by the time they get caught, it's already their 100th chance... Having dealt with people who sooner or later get caught for drug offenses... throw the fucking book at them... They do unforgivable things in the name of their next high (steal my father's wedding ring off of his dead hand at his funeral to pawn it for drug money) I have no place for people like that in my life.
  6. ok, I'll call around to some body shops. The paint color is near perfect, there's just some ripples that I'd prefer not to see in the paint.
  7. 4 coats of clear. I have the exact paint used as well... I will probably wait until sprint just to make sure that everything is dry and hardened properly. I will reach out to Tim. Thanks!
  8. So I just had my car painted last weekend... I want to give it a few weeks to make sure it's all the way dry but there's some light orange peel on it in a few spots. I know Andy does mobile detailing, but not sure if he works on newly painted cars like this. I might just wait until the spring to get it done but I want to get someone lined up. Any recommendations? I'd really like them to come out to my house to do it since I'm still working out some mechanical issues that caused the car to be wrecked in the first place.
  9. I already painted it with the black rubber coating, it looks absolutely titties, it matches the curtains perfectly! And I know it's just jealousy that I have a 2k sq foot garage with a lift. There's nothing wrong with me wanting my car servicing area that I obviously wrench at to look nice and not look like a hill billy dump.
  10. I went ahead and painted the workbench with that black rubber paint... it turned out really nice. so the next question (before I ask about a curtain color) Has anyone painted their concrete? The garage is 2k sq feet so the super cool garage epoxy is out, but I was wondering how well concrete paint holds up in garages
  11. I like the idea of a drain pan, that could be pretty nice since it seems there's always some sort of shit on top of there that I want to get off. Flex Seal comes in clear and white as well. I figure white will show absolutely everything and clear is the same unless it's sanded down and hope it's not seeped too much into the wood. As far as warping, the only issue is that the concrete floor was put in after the bench and the amish guy who put down the concrete didn't cut and refit the bench so the front does raise and lower as the seasons change because the legs are on "gravel" as opposed to the rest is on a huge slab of concrete that stays the same or raises all together.
  12. It's very sturdy, I can stand on it and I've put engines and transmissions on it before (thus why it's so nasty) I think the black flex seal is the way I'll go with it. I really like the idea of making it look metal, but no local place sells those sheets and they are $$$ for even cut down pieces.
  13. probably, but it's nasty at this point so it would have to be painted before sealing. I've thought about getting that flex seal paint and rolling that on so it gives it a rubber coating, but a black workbench might look a bit off or at least make the garage feel darker.
  14. I built a workbench years ago in my garage and built it out of wood... over the years, dirty parts, grease, etc.. have made the top pretty nasty. What all has people done for this? I was thinking about painting it, but also like the metal look. Problem is, I don't see flat 4x8 sheets of metal that are even semi-reasonable in price. What else has people done besides painted the wood workbench or just left it alone?
  15. I was there yesterday and did not see any 55inch UHD 4k's for under 400 except one that was 298 and was completely sold out.
  16. I went ahead and purchased a 32inch TCL smart tv last night. I wanted to go bigger, but this will serve the purpose of what I want and that's to replace that old CRT tube tv that's from 1994 that I was using out there and couldn't even read the text from the cable box.
  17. power washer is the only way I've seen...
  18. this is good to hear, I've kept this old ass CRT out in the garage because I don't heat the garage all the time, I only turn the heater on when I'm out there and it depends on how much my wife is pissing me off will say how much I end up using the garage in the winter time lol.
  19. Do you put LCD / LED TV's in them? Anyone have issues with temperature changes? I have an OLD CRT tv in my garage and it's been fine cold or hot, but I've been thinking about replacing it with something newer since that TV is a good 25 years old at least. Anyone have issues with extreme cold weather and the tv sitting in a garage?
  20. coming from a guy who just sold his, talk him out of it... I miss mine like crazy
  21. This man is absolutely correct in what he's saying.
  22. I agree with this although depending on size, there might not be an IT department just a guy who "knows" computers.
  23. maybe basic spreadsheets, but don't expect to print anything without connecting to google print services.... a virtual desktop environment a chromebook would be fine but not much else.
