  1. Most of these people are not making minimum wage here. I think a lot of you would be shocked to see what some of these workers make - even the "entry level" guys make more than what most of you would guess. I did a loan for a guy who was about a 10 yr line worker for Delphi making 6 figures. I actually called to verify his title as "assembly line worker" because I did not believe it. I even asked - now is he a manager or something? Nope.
  2. I saw a Saleen S281 dyno when my car was dyno'd. He had paid ~50K I believe for the supercharged Mustang but it only put down 307 RWHP. It was a great looking car though!
  3. +1. It is nice to see someone trying something, anything, different. What they're doing now is not working.
  4. I just cannot get over how good the pics are. There is something about putting NFL action shots to music - even if it was the Bengals it would still be cool.
  5. http://www.ckfenterprises.com/steelers06.wmv I think this works - I suck at the internet
  6. I like it - come on GM grow a sack!

Pittman will have to fight off the freshman coming in. Did anyone see him light up the all star game? See the thread below on Chris Wells.
  8. I wish I had taken video of mine on first start up after the cam. Your videos brought back some cool memories. Ryan and I installed my cam and headers on a Sunday - fired it up in my neighborhood for the first time at 3:30 am Monday.
  9. Did you notice that it is on the original 10 bolt rear end? I guess it is safe to assume it has not been launched really hard at the track.
  10. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4597489203&fromMakeTrack=true Noice!
  11. I bought a 2002 GTI 1.8T new - I thought it was pretty cool and was trying to make a more "sensible" purchase than my 3 V8 F-bodies in a row(read get my wife off of my ass for my toys). It was black, had leather, 17" wheels - all the bells and whistles - 13 months later I traded it in and lost 2500 in the process. It was in the shop 4 times in the first year for all kinds of stuff - left me stranded twice. I gladly took the 2500 asswhipping to get out from under it. They are a POS.
  12. Bummer - you had that one running pretty well!
  13. You dumping the Z28 already?
  14. I would do the cam and headers first. Nitrous is cheaper and will put out a little more power but it does have its tradeoffs. Besides, a cammed LS1 sounds cool! You can safely run a 75-100 shot with the proper tuning. I know some here will argue you can go bigger but you are playing russian roulette with a shot bigger than 100 - especially without supporting mods.
  15. My wife has an 02 Suburban Z71 - we love it but you might check to see if the air conditioning compressor has been replaced on any of the trucks you are looking at. It is a known problem that the compressors go bad - of course it hit me right after the warranty expired - hit me for 1,200. The dealer of course denies that this is a known problem but my internet research showed that he was not bing completely truthful. Other than that we have not had any problems and the gas mileage is in the teens. We pull a 6000 pound trailer regularly in the summer.
  16. The other way, besides the turnover battle, that this game will be close is if Tressel plays it too close to the sweater vest. I feel if he opens up the offense it is over by the 3rd quarter.
  17. I am excited about being able to smack them around. Oh man did Penn State get the shaft - the 22nd ranked FSU.
  18. I love it - because of all of the stuff you guys are doing I am sure my car picked up 100 hp or so:-)
  19. I have - there are times when sub-prime is simply the better option. However there is no need to argue sub prime vs prime. There are tons of options available out there. My point is just that "sub prime" does not mean it is a worse deal or not as good as a prime loan - each type of loan has advantages and disadvantages. You are absolutely right - it is imperative you ask a lot of questions. Make sure you know to ask a "disinterested" third party for advice if you are uncomfortable. You WILL get burned and pay more than necessary if you do not take your time!
  20. Greg - pretty good summary of our industry (I have been in the mortgage industry 10 yrs). Something you also need to keep in mind is on a "prime" loan the rate may be good but you will probably have PMI (private mortgage insurance). This is an insurance policy that a lender takes out to help cover any losses that may occur if they have to foreclose on a house. PMI kicks in at loan to values > 80%. So if you are putting < 20% down you will likely have to pay PMI. The amount of the PMI depends on your credit and how much you put down - it can be VERY significant 100-200 / month. Obviously the less you put down the more risk of loss to the lender - so the cost of the PMI goes up. This is why many people with perfect credit may go to a sub-prime lender - they can offer higher loan to values (loan amount / value of home) with no PMI. They get their profits in the rate rather than PMI. Remember that home interest is tax deductible while PMI is not. You can have the PMI removed after you have built enough equity in the home but it is a pain in the butt. Moral of the story - avoid PMI if you can!
  21. Very cool - but I think it was done with still shots and editting. The first time I saw it I figured he had a set up like a rock concert. The more I see it and think about it I think it was done with photo editting. Maybe not though.
  22. Are you serious?? Just because you are a fan does not mean you have to believe they will win every game. I hope you are right about them "owning" the Colts. However, any reasonable person would have to give the nod to the Colts after watching the Steelers struggle against the Baltimorons and the Colts lighting up the Bengals.
  23. I have been a huge Steelers fan all of my life but I cannot see them beating the Colts. However, I do think they will have a better plan than Cincy did. Cincy hung in there and played well but I do not understand why they went out and tried to beat the Colts doing what the Colts do best. I guess it is probably what Cincy does best too but I just don't see the point in trying to air it out against them. I will say that Indy's defense is not as good as people think it is and Pitt will move the ball. I think Pitt will try to keep the ball away from Peyton - your only hope against them.
  24. Interesting numbers I heard tonight on "The Fan" - the road teams are 3-10 in the last 13 games. The 3 road wins were all by a travelling underdog. That being said, fuck Michigan - go Bucks!
