  1. I am big into all kinds of music and am a huge fan. I have seen them 5 or 6 times in concert - they never disappoint. I actually saw them when they opened for "house of heroes". 21 Pilots were so much better live that house of heroes had to be wondering why they had them open for them and put the bar so high. "Car Radio" is my favorite song - not just by 21 pilots - period. Their earlier stuff is pretty good too "Addict with a Pen" is my daughter's favorite song (she's huge into music as well) Good to see local boys doing well!
  2. I have parts being overnighted from Japan for this event
  3. Not sure but those are the threads I found too. It is not an unusual problem. I learned of the "temporary" fix the same way - Google search. If I put it in park, pump the brakes, shut it off, pump the brakes and Fire it back up the brake feel is perfect. I was hoping someone here had conquered this piece. I do not believe it is te master cylinder as the brakes feel great most of the time and it holds pressure just fine.
  4. Not really wanting to pay 485.00 for the part
  5. Yeah that is what I think the research is showing - ABS Module / pump
  6. The other wierd symptom - after ABS is engaged and the pedal is soft, it makes a "whistling"sound from under the dash everytime the pedal is pushed. It sounds crazy, no other way to describe it. Put it in park, pump the brakes, all good. Especially if you shut it off, pump the pedal, then restart.
  7. Fluid levels are fine - also no visible leaks. Works perfectly as long as the ABS does not engage.
  8. OK CR auto repair experts. I have a strange brake issue in the car I bought for my daughter. It is a 2007 Eclipse- the brakes feel great and strong normally. However, if you hit a patch of ice the ABS activates as it is supposed to but afterwards the pedal is very soft. You can "pump" the brakes back up at the next stop and all is good. They will feel great until ABS kicks in again. It seems like this is a known problem with this model but I have not found the "cure" yet.
  9. That one is beautiful and would match my suburban
  10. Yup that was me. Thanks dude -we are really happy with it. Jordan did good work. He is looking for my next toy now...
  11. Where did you see it?
  12. It's nice but I would not drop that much coin on a car with rebuilt title
  13. We live 2miles from the school - back and forth to school everyday does not add up to much. As a college freshman she will likely not be able to have her car
  14. My youngest is a junior in high school so I probably have 1 more car that needs to be somewhat practical (ie not a 2 seater). Once she moves on to college and my oldest gets out of college I can "go crazy". The real issue is I do not have space for an extra "toy"car so whatever I get will have to serve double duty - DD and fun car which is how I ended up with a CTSv the first time. It is also why I have to make some compromises. I am sure a C6 would be perfect if the time was right.
  15. . Admittedly I could have worded that better. I have kicked around a lot of possibilities on the CTSv replacement. A V2 CTSv weighs 4200 pounds. I already have 2 pigs in the driveway (3 if you include the Eclipse). My wife's Volvo even weighs nearly 4200 pounds. I am just not sure which direction I will go but it has to be sporty. The Eclipse is unnecessarily wide but is stiffly sprung and low to the ground. I do not want a FWD for sure - the Mazdaspeed 3 and GTI 1.8t cured that itch.
  16. My daughter will probably put 10-15k miles on it over the next 4-6 years
  17. Actually no - 138k miles. I cannot get over how clean it is - it was clearly well cared for and spent a lot of time on the highway. Clay - small compared to a camaro I should say a lower, more stiffly sprung vehicle. I have too many ideas on the next car floats my through my head.

  19. Picked up this little gem for my daughter yesterday. It is a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse with the 2.4 liter and 6 speed auto. It is a ridiculously clean 1 owner car with no reported accidents. It is clearly a "chick" car but I really enjoy driving it. In fact, it is leading me to believe I may want something smaller / lighter for my next toy (was thinking ZL1 / CTSv). Some pics: Pics to follow
  20. I want the Volvo for myself Drove a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse and was actually very impressed. It was in great shape and drove really nice. I am going to do some research but initial results look promising. This is the 2.4 liter 4. Interestingly the most expensive insurance of all of the cars listed was the Scion.
  21. Actually looking at the following (all daughter approved): 06+ Mitsubishi Eclipse 06+ Chevy Cobalt SS 06+ Scion TC Pushing for a Civic but she is not biting yet.
  22. You nailed it. She is reasonable but likes cars like me.
