  1. Hmmm that does sound pretty good.
  2. I am a fan of these - my biggest concern is can you make the v6 sound good?
  3. Impressive - wish I knew enough to tackle a project like this. I have been battling putting power steering on my daughter's 66 pickup for a week!
  4. Congrats man. I miss the crap out of that car!
  5. Disappointed with a 10 sec quarter stock?? On stock tires???
  6. Also keep in mind in the first pic there is still a bolt in that hole broken off. I considered drilling it out but given I don't have a lot of experience with it and am keenly aware of what would happen if I drill in too far I am looking at other mounting options.
  7. The first pic - top bolt hole is the problem. The last pic is the head mounting location I was considering. Looking at this kit as well: http://www.cfrperformance.com/CHEVY_SMALL_BLOCK_POWER_STEERING_BRACKET_SET_LWP_p/hz-4302-pol.htm

  9. OK, my buddy and I set out this weekend to upgrade the manual steering to power steering in my daughters 1966 GMC Pick up (C10) that has been swapped with a 350/3 speed auto from a 1978 C10. I got the manual steering gear out and upgraded to a newer (remanufactured) box just fine with a kit I bought on line. That was supposed to be the hard part. It came with a power steering pump bracket that mounts in the stock location (drivers side low on the block). Unfortunately, it appears that somewhere along the way, someone broke off a bolt in that location and when I was running a bolt in it bottomed out and broke off the casting that protrudes from the block and has the threads. As such, I am trying to find a new location to mount the power steering pump. I have found "head mount" and "water pump" mounts - any experience with these? Recommendations? It is an early Saginaw pump with reservour attached. Everything else on the motor is stock but it does have headers.
  10. I ask because I want to, not because I have to
  11. It is no wonder there are so many unhappy marriages... Clay gets it...
  12. If it feels like a diesel when it shuts down...a sort of "shudder" it is the motor mounts
  13. Love the color by the way - looks amazing. Mine shifted great - it had a B and M shifter I think but I am not sure what else. On another note, I suppose I should change my screen name to caseytbd
  14. OSU dropped because Va Tech crapped the bed at home to ECU...
  15. Clay, that is why I took mine to IPS...deep scratches /hazing. I know you can wet sand them but I was not willing to experiment and took it to the professionals. Cost me like 100.00 and they looked brand new. I wills have spent 40+ on supplies, risked ruining the paint, and still not have it look as good.
  16. Clay, I had IPS take care of my headlight lenses - they looked fantastic. Until that freakin teenager....
  17. It's car talk, I love it Ok Carrera GT it is.
  18. Not passionate about it having to be a manual for how I use it but prefer a manual. No offense Sean but Inhabe never been a fan of the huge Grand Am styling of the G8. That is a shame as they check all of the other boxes
  19. Had them on the MS3 at Derek's suggestion and loved them.
  20. That is the decision I have not yet made. It is 150 hp stronger but weighs 400 pounds more. I like the looks of both interior and exterior better on the V2 but 20k+ More? Remains to be seen..,
