I second that Jesse. It is inconvenient for me to take my cars there as far as location since I am up north but worth it. I am getting ready to take my Suburban down there for some work.
Do you even math bro?
On a serious note, you are buying a 30-40k car, the stuff noted is all trivial. Especially on a 6 year old car. I would not use any of those things as a tool, just shoot then what you are willing to pay.
CTSv versus E63...there are tons of comparisons out there between the 2 cars. You cannot go wrong. From what I have read, the CTSv feels more like a sports car than the E63. The E63 being more luxurious. The CTSv is significantly cheaper and is available with a stick should you choose to have one. Looks are subjective but I think they are both awesome looking. The CTSv comes in a white pearl and a metallic black that are stunning.
When I get home I can link a few of the articles - they are all fun to read.
Yeah I tried that. When I got an Ibanez SR505 it became obsolete. It sounds exactly as a Pbass should but not cut out for what I need.
(Next bass will be a Music Man Stingray 5)
I just don't get the stance thing I suppose. I have 245s on 8.5" wide stock...many run a 275. I had a 315 on an 11" wide!
I don't understand it but respect it. I would love to have a Porsche some day.
Thanks man, I appreciate it. I had not played in 20 years or so and my church needed a bass player for contemporary worship. I went out and bought the best bass I knew of at the time. It just does not have the right sound for this type of music and I have not played it much after picking up another bass over a year ago.
It really is a beautiful bass, kills me to sell it but don't want to keep it and not play it.
I was going to suggest a Vibe. We have one and it has been the most reliable car we have ever owned. It essentially is a Corolla underneath as is it's brother the Toyota Matrix.
Here is my Craigslist ad - let me know if you have any questions.
2009 or 2010 Fender American P Bass - 850 OBO

Based on my research price is fair but feel free to make me an offer.
Thanks for all of the info - list now includes:
2011+ Audi Q7 TDI and 3.0t
2010+ Mercedes GL320 Bluetec
2010+ Suburban LTZ
(That is the order I would put them in, but if I am honest I think we will end up with another Suburban)
If we go Suburban it will continue to be an "extra" car which I am trying to avoid. Playing vehicle Tetris in my driveway is getting old.
We are going to go look at a couple. I am afraid my wife will say the Q7 is too small. She thought the Acadia was too small and based on measurements, while it is larger on the outside it is smaller on the inside. I am trying to not have to get another suburban.
I listed the EPA mileage numbers above and noticed reg unleaded was 3.30 / gallon today while diesel was 4.17. I need to check to see if the 3.0t requires premium which would impact this analysis. For what it's worth the tow ratings are the same and power is relatively close so those would not be deciding factors.
I think the "real world" versus EPA argument may be the piece I need to investigate. I was surprised to see the mileage numbers were so close. I am only looking at 2010+ as they rolled out a new 8-spd auto
