  1. Man, read this whole thread at lunch. It is truly sad to read such terrible opinions of marriage. I have been married 18 years (married at age 21) and cannot imagine life without her. She would tell you the same. Marriage works with true commitment from both parties and a common reason for living. I really hope some of you come to reAlize that marriage is not something to be feared or ridiculed but to be cherished and nurtured. Love is a verb not a feeling, marriage takes work! All that being said, there are some rediculous decisions coming out of the courts in divorces.
  2. They are great to work with. I was unable to be home as they were trying to figure out where it was leaking but I felt totally comfortable with them being there and fixing while I was gone and was confident I would not get ripped off. They replaced one part at a time to ensure they did not replace something that was not needed as the leak was hard to diagnose (it drains under the deck which is fully enclosed. They also wanted to make sure it was worth fixing as it is nearing its expected life (10 years). They did not disappoint in anyway. They are coming out this week to install a new cover.
  3. I had the same issue and ended up being a pump housing that had a crack in it. I use "Endless Summer Pool and Spa". They do really good work.
  4. Well if tim is coming out of his air conditioned cocoon I am in.
  5. Is it just me or do they suck at making money on these cars? I have watched a few episodes and it does not look like they are making money.
  6. I don't think he will as this one is actually funny
  7. Interesting. This is exactly what I wanted when I bought my speed 3 and you have it and are going back?
  8. Is he an idiot? Or the smartest man you know?
  9. I speak Alex: he means, of the ones listed, he would take the Volvo not "take it off the list". I would concur, I like my wife's C70 T 5 far more than I want to admit.
  10. My wife was considering a regular 500 so we went and drove it. I thought it was awful. I am glad to hear the Abarth is better. Pretty cool looking.
  11. Really? We knew what you were talking about.

Car found a home with the soldier coming home from afganistan. Lock it up please!
  13. And this is a pointless arguement, once my MS3 is modified as I plan, it will be as fast as my 02 WS6 was........stock (maybe)
  14. I did not call you out by name because I was including Jones ;-)
  15. Not to get into a GTI vs MS3 debate as that was not the intent of the OP but I have owned both and while the interior of my GTI was nicer the MS3 is a lot more fun to drive IMO. Also, to the VW fan bois where are you getting that the GTi is faster than an MS3? In every test I have read there is no comparison stock versus stock in any kind of race. Maybe I have not read the latest in VW Digest? ;-) To the OP, as a lifelong GM fan boi, I gotta say Ford is doing some awesome stuff. I could definitely drive an ST. I remember reading somewhere it will not have a mechanical limited slip but will compensate with electronics. It will be interesting to see if that works. If they can conquer torque steer that would be great. There is torque steer, bad torque steer, then MS3 torque steer. In summary, FWD LOL

Joe, If you need help getting a hold of her let me know. This is exactly how I was hoping it would go, someone that needs cheap transportation can get it. With cash for clunkers cheap cars are hard to find. I did not think it made sense to junk it. I too am willing to fetch wrenches to fix it.

I am pretty sure it is the 2.2l not the 2.4.

The owner is literally the nicest person I know. She is the second owner and bought it off a 2 year lease. She won't hide anything. I will tell her about the soldier. She was just going to scrap it but I told her it is too nice to scrap and will make someone a good car. I looked at cars for less than 3000 for my daughter when she turned 16, nothing was as nice.

Posting this for a person I work with. I have seen the car many times - it is very clean, no rust. It has just under 150,000 miles. Recent new parts: 1) New radiator hoses 2) New water pump and serpentine belt tensioner 3) Newer alternator and battery (May 2011) It does have a slow internal coolant leak - per mechanic it is leaking into cylinder 2 and 3. Otherwise in great shape. Good car for the money. Call the seller directly with questions..
