  1. When you test drove the V6 did they confiscate your man card? I actually enjoy your car reviews so I won't bash you for not buying what everyone knows you should buy. Keep searching. Have fun along the way. Entertain us. Then buy the CTSv
  2. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v96/casey02ws6/IMG_5748copy_web.jpg That is a 1-1.25 inch drop - the only thing that scraped was the y-pipe and I did not do a great job of tucking that.
  3. I did, no rubbing but I was running a rather narrow 315 (sumitomos). No rolling of fenders.
  4. Looks good Scott - those wheels make a huge difference. If you are going to lower it I recommend the Hotchkis lowering springs. I got countless compliments on my T/A's stance and it rode well.
  5. Here is a Craigslist add from a buddy of mine... Nice bike. A little more than you are looking but he will deal... http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3732937291.html
  6. Yeah GM never makes a good motor... They don't know how to do anything right. Such GM hate.
  7. Dat blue.... When you do my CTSv I may look into this...
  8. I am not a Ford fan by any stretch of the imagination but I could certainly drive that car...welcome to the site.
  9. I read his analysis and just started laughing. Gas mileage? He'll I don't know, I am too busy smiling.

    Thanks IPS

It just seems like it (i havent even had the car 6 months). I was just debating whether to do the repair myself, decided not to.

    Thanks IPS

Thanks Jones, I swear I looked for that sub forum but could not find it so i said screw it... It is automotive related:)

    Thanks IPS

Made my first trip to IPS. Took the CTSv to have new motor mounts installed. They treated me very professionally and the car came out great. Cannot believe I waited this long to get that fixed. Car feels so much better. Thanks guys!
  13. Dude you are killing me with this "it makes barely more power than an LS3" stuff (among other things). If you watch the video the corvette engineer talks about the new LT1 making more torque than the LS7. How much more power does the base Vette need to be "satisfactory" in your book? It is already 450+ hp and gets better mileage which, unfortunately, is a necessary evil.
  14. This. I have helped a friend on 2 VWs with the 1.8/2.0 t. He called them the "angry Germans" as they consistently gave him issues and were a nightmare to work on. Helped him put both in "service mode" I.e remove the front clip to work on them.
  15. I am with you Clay, I love the styling. I see the Civic references but the Cadillac turns up the style in all the right places. I have no interest in a hybrid, or FWD for that matter but hell if Lexus can sell that fugly version of the Prius Cadillac should be able to sell these.
  16. A guy at work is looking for a car and wanted my recommendation. I tend to be biased so thought I would put it here for your opinions. His preferences may be tough to hit with his budget. - prefers AWD but not a deal killer - roomy - has 3 kids - decent on gas - reliable (dude cannot do any wrenching on his own) - 12k budget - here's the hard one: "somewhat cool" He was looking for an Audi A4 Avant but I don't think that is the best option given he wants it to be reliable and cannot work on it himself. I love me some Avant but they are not recognized as dependable from what I have read. He owned a Subaru Legacy and was not a fan. Options?
  17. I'll bet it's similar to the M3 and the redline adjusts based on engine temp.
  18. They would have been beaten by Alabama no doubt, but I think they would have handled ND.
  19. Lazer Craze has this as part of their business.
  20. Since it is emissions related it may still be under warranty. Worth a shot.
