  1. Another from my iPhone http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v96/casey02ws6/Mazda2.jpg
  2. Crappy photo for those who care... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v96/casey02ws6/Mazda.jpg
  3. I was looking at those and the Continental Extreme Contact DWS.
  4. I "gave up" (I guess?) and got the Mazda. I found a 2010 Mazda Speed3 in Medina - 29K miles loaded with everything. Got it out the door for 17K. Check prices - that is a great deal. The general manager came out to find out who was on the buyer side of the negotiation and actually said "well done" and wanted to be sure I sent others to him to make him some money. I am sure they did not lose on it but I did my research and knew I had them. - they bought it 9/28 so I knew the interest would be coming due at day 45 - or approximately next week. It needs tires is the only thing - the ones on it look great as far as tread but 3 of them have a busted belt. I need a new screen name...maybe "Rice Rice Casey"?
  5. we may need to talk. i will let you know
  6. The GTO is nice...but I am not a fan of the bloated grand am look. It should be 20-25% smaller and lighter.
  7. I know...that is the only reason I question this purchase. If I had land and could throw an extra car somewhere I would get a summer car and a beater as that is by far the best option. Then it would be an M3 and a Grand Prix beater for sure. I simply don't have room for more than one car per family member.
  8. If it could be just a play toy I would head straight for the M3. It is my dream car but to get it in my budget I would have to compromise. I have 1 daughter getting ready for college and another that is only 2 years from driving. I love the Evo and STI but as mentioned I am OLD...lol. Honestly I have not seen a decent one in my price range to look at. I am headed to a dealership over an hour away to check out a 2010 Speed3. It is a great deal compared to what is listed. If it is as advertised and I like the drive that is probably the direction I am going. I went to drive the GTO and it sold last night :-(
  9. Found an 05 GTO - 6 speed, less than 20K miles. Going to drive it tomorrow
  10. Well I officially sold my other car tonight so it is on. I found a great deal on a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 but am afraid I am going to hate the torque steer. Will probably drive a GTO before deciding. Other suggestions are good...I actually have considered the Volvo but not sure I can bring myself to do that! I had an 02 GTI and liked it but did not LOVE it. Will probably still drive a newer one. I love the sound of an R32 but I am sure it would be near impossible to find one of those.
  11. There is a nice red one up by my house for sale but my wife thinks they look like a bloated cavalier. I may drive one and tell her to hush if I love it.
  12. CTS-V...I have been looking for one but have nbot had any luck to this point
  13. I finally have some finanical things in order so it is time to get a fun car again. I am looking for some suggestions. Here are the ground rules: 1) It will be an every day driver - including the winter so Mustangs / Firebirds / T/As are out - besides I want to try something different 2) Has to be fun (Quick) 3) Has to handle well 4) Has to be reliable (see 1) 5) Keep it under 20K 6) Manual preferred / almost required. Not sure I can do an auto 7) Has to seat 4 comfortably and I have to be able to throw my bass and amp in the trunk / back seat Cars I am considering: 1) 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 2) Newer GTI 3) 02-03 BMW M3 4) 05-06 Audi S4 5) 05 or so Infiniti G35 If I was buying with my heart it would be number 3 or 4. However, given it is a daily and I would have to shoot for a bit older car I am concerned with the reliability. What are your suggestions?
  14. Looks like you are out of the market now but if you are going GTO might as well get the 6 liter - 2005+.
  15. This thread makes me sad...what was I thinking?
  16. I like the post "I don't see anything terribly wrong with it..."
  17. Congrats man. Will be bringing my truck to you the end of this week or early next week.
  18. Now that's a good daily for you.
  19. Thanks for sharing. I was going to head up there as the guy who bought mine was bringing it in from Chicago.
