  1. I think this is the key to it all. They are out there and they will do it regardless of what we try to do to stop them. People just have a hard time accepting there are truly mad people out there like this.
  2. Chicago is awesome, last time I was in Milwaukee I stayed in Kenosha instead.
  3. That's sweet. I have one similar but it's all hand carved wood with marble tiles and playing pieces. My aunt got it for me when I was a kid.
  4. I'm too fucking lazy for that. If you are patient you can find them around 150, mine was 80. :gabe: I was hoping for around 100-125 so this score was even sweeter.
  5. Sometimes I get impatient but I have to remind myself, be calm and the deal will show up eventually. I just get frustrated because of the slow pace and the fact that my to-do list doesn't shrink as fast as I want it to. The other thing that makes me laugh is some of the pricing. Even after you show some people that their pricing is out of left field, they give you the "but I paid $xxx" and when I tell them they obviously overpaid, they get mad. Lol. I'm going back and forth with a guy right now on some metal and he gave me the "common man work with me I paid over $500" line. When I showed him that the stuff is like $40 new he said that I made it up or I would have bought it already. I told him I'm heading there this week and to have a nice day three times and he STILL doesn't get it. I don't want his overpriced shit yet he keeps messaging me!!! This is also why I never give out my number on there until the very end of a deal. No email, I don't bother. Get everything hashed out via email and skip the phone if possible.
  6. I mostly troll atv, electronics and farm/garden. I have a few projects around that I'm trying to tidy up yet. Reworking my grizzly 600: http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i191/gillbot/imagejpg2_zpsab24bad5.jpg Needs a good bit of tlc but it works pretty well. No back brakes, shifter is a pile and no kill switch. Other than that everything works. Good high, low, 4x4, lights and etc. Winch and front bumper are shot so I've been trolling CL for those. I'll likely snag a winch from harbor freight when they go back on sale though. Not having much luck on the bumper. Wouldn't mind running across another set of wheels for this thing since my front tires have a slow leak. I have another set of tires in my shed but I'm too cheap to pay and loo lazy to swap them. I already mentioned my wife's breeze 125 in my craigslist trailer thread: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117260 http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i191/gillbot/imagejpg1_zps16136572.jpg It's about 95% done. Has brakes but they are a little soft. Been trolling CL for tires since hers are pretty dry rotted but they are holding air fine. If I find a set super cheap I'll snag em, if not she can roll on these till I have to replace them. I have a newer set of rear tires for it but they are snow paddles. Don't really want to put them on it for summer riding. I've also been trolling CL for a blown up blaster. Supposedly you can swap the front brakes and hubs plus the rear swing arm assembly onto the breeze but unless I find one uber cheap, I'm not gonna tackle that. I've also picked up a new trailer. It's big enough to haul both my quads at ~5x11. Paid less for it than I sold my old trailer for so I'm happy with that. It's an old boat trailer converted to a utility trailer with wood deck by the previous owner. I've been trolling CL for metal so I can make the deck out of steel and mesh. It'll all come together sooner or later.
  7. I had a bunch of trees cut down in my back yard (yep, found him on CL too) but since we have a nice gathering spot with a fire pit out there, I decided to just save some money and have the tree guy leave the wood lay. I'd clean it all up, save some money and have wood-o-plenty for the fire pit. I had a massive pile of logs cut up already and thought I better split the wood if I'm going to use it. I decided I was going to just go the cheap route and try the manual hydraulic splitter. Either the foot powered: http://www.sitebox.ltd.uk/prodimages/Fox/log.gif Or the jack style: http://www.tlbox.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Wel-Bilt-Horizontal-Manual-Hydraulic-Log-Splitter-%E2%80%94-10-Ton.jpg I started trolling craigslist and ran across this little gem: http://thumbs3.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mcFIfPT5ur8C7959yNTfONw.jpg I figured since it's the same price or less than the hydraulic ones, why the hell not. All I can say is holy shit I'm glad I went with it. The ENTIRE pile I had chopped up is already all split and stacked. I only have a few more larger branches to chop into log size pieces and split but dam! The guy I bought it from said it was too slow. I did about a truckload's worth of wood all split and stacked in a couple hours. Is he trying to chop and split a forest in a single day? O-well, for the few I paid for it I'm extremely happy. Now I can re-list it on craigslist for twice what I paid and wait for it to sell! Nah, I think this is something I'll probably just keep since it makes my life much easier. Now having a small fire for s'mores in the backyard during summer nights is a bit more enjoyable. Back to trolling craigslist looking for other items to help me knock off things on my to-do list. :lolguy:
  8. The American cancer society can help, contact them. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and she got down, but they helped pull her up and she's cancer free so far!

  11. I still can't figure out why people toss cigarette butts out the damn window. It should be legal to ram them off the fucking road.
  12. No, under Jones' desk is scary... and the only rides he offers me are of the mustache variety.
  13. I'm in between Youngstown and Akron-Canton. I passed on a couple older car haulers already for under $500 because all I need them for is hauling ATVs. They were just too big/heavy for me to move around. I need to store it in my back yard and move it back there with my garden tractor. I have limited space between my house and the neighbors that is on a slant so I don't want to risk anything too wide or heavy as it may slide and hit his house while moving through. If you aren't opposed to driving up this way, search Akron-Canton, Youngstown, Ashtabula, Cleveland, Erie and Pittsburgh. Sometimes those cities will give you hits from NY up by Erie too but a lot of people from around here list on there because of the clientele. A lot of people from this area don't seem to be too bright when it comes to craigslist so they only list them under Pittsburgh instead of Youngstown even though they live in Ohio. They think it's a bigger city and they'll get more offers not realizing that many other people only look in their own city and not many others.
  14. How far are you willing to drive and what's your budget? I've seen quite a few on Craigslist up here as I've been looking for a replacement atv hauler.
  15. You are more than welcome to come up and clear all 100+ feet of it any time. I'll even drop ya a $20 for the work.
  16. My latest update....... I put all new lights, wiring and safety chains on this trailer then proceeded to pick up a Yamaha Grizzly 600 for myself. That thing barely fit on this trailer so I'm now looking for a bigger trailer. For grins I threw this one on craigslist for $250 and the damn thing sold within a few days! My new goal is to try and find a trailer I can fit both the Grizzly 600 and Breeze 125 on for $250, LOL. On a side note, the Breeze 125 is running like a top. Cleaned out the carb about 5 times after buying then returning a carb rebuild kit. The seller insisted it was compatible but the jets were different. I ended up grabbing just a pilot jet from eBay since the original was plugged solid. Snagged an AGM battery from eBay for $20 shipped and a few other misc pieces and so far so good! I need to overhaul the front brakes since they don't work at all but the backs work well. Other than that, a new plug, oil change and I'm calling it a complete success! Next on the tuneup block will be the Grizzly. It has some issues also, the main ones that bother me is no kill switch. The key nor the engine off will kill it so you have to pull the choke to make it die. The shift lever has a bit of slop in the joints so it doesn't allow full shifting range. If you adjust it for low, it doesn't like going into reverse and conversely, if you adjust it for reverse it won't go into low. It also has no front brakes but the rears work fine. The foot brake is also completely disconnected. Other than that, the 4x4, high, low and everything seems to work fine. It has a winch and plow but I was told the winch was disconnected so I'm going to assume it's dead. There's a hand lift for the plow though so idgas. Now I'm actually tempted to trade this thing for something smaller!
  17. Here's one from google: http://www.ss-shootout.com/tool.jpg
  18. Will an ls1 style work? If so I can mail you a cheap one I made if I can find it. No need to return it, you can keep it. Or I can get you the drawing and if you have a grinder you can make one yourself in a few minutes.
  19. It's not a sought after color, it's either a love it or hate it color. It doesn't add anything to the price but severely limits your buying base. Ask me how I know. :lolguy:
  20. I hang em on a nail to see if they are real far out. If so I usually just toss em.
  21. This ^ If you have to remove enough material to get them seriously out of balance enough to cause damage, they should be replaced.
  22. I see you are alive! No cranks were harmed in the racing today? :gabe:
