Yes I have and I originally ordered one with everything else and they were on back order. I havnt bothered looking for one since.

they are very fun to shoot untill you realize how much your spending per round. but i would never want one for defense or target.

yea got about 500 rounds threw it the sights are alot better then i expected them to be but still not my favorite. so far the only problems i've had is with the magpull mags, they don't fall out on their own and if you fill them all the way the gun can't chamber a round. take 3 shells off the top and it's flawless.

i was pointing out the differences and letting him know to be aware of them so he knows what to do if there is a misfire i wasn't saying one was better then the other and thats not why i hate glocks i hate glocks. and your absolutely right but in my experience most misfires will fire with the second primer strike very rarely have i found a round that absolutely will not fire.

go to a gunshop and spend plenty of time messing with all the guns and find one that fits you. then find friends with alot of different guns and shoot them or rent them from the range. at ohio valley in lancaster it's only $10 to rent a gun and they have a pretty good selection. shooting a gun is way different then just handling it for instance after shooting several glocks i will never own one. they are horrible if your considering using it for carry you will prolly want a polly gun but be aware of all the different trigger options for instance there are 4 different trigger options for the walther p99 and the one i want is available only on the first gen so don't just find a gun and say i'll take it. also if your going to use it for carry be well aware of what will happen in case of a miss fire with glocks you can't just pull the trigger again you have to rack the slide. with the walther p99 DA/SA it returns to double action if it's not fired and you can pull the trigger again. my favorite gun is the jericho 941 based baby eagle my next gun will be a walther p99

What do you guys think a good drive time for this will be? what do you think is to long? i'm trying to figure out how far out of the way we can go for some good spots and roads but i don't want this to be no 8 hour drive. and can someone get ahold of some riders and find some good curvy roads between here and there.

there is a S&W version and a magnum research version "baby eagle" which actually says "baby" on it this time. "The SW99 frame, although made by Walther in Germany, has a rounded trigger guard. The slide and barrel of the P99 are steel and tennifer-treated. The P99 is considered by most to be superior to the SW99" and no one agrees on how to classify the generations due to the number of changes but the big changes came in 2004 so most stick to the gen1 gen2 i don't like the serations on the gen2 slide and i don't like the looks of the SW99 or the baby eagle compared to the walther design.

looking now i didn't really want to have anything on the gun changed but a black one looks like my only hope, i can get a black one for $500. found one with a stainless slide in arkansas and the guy wants $1200 for it. and found a titanium coated slide for $650-$750 but it's a gen 2 and i don't want a gen 2.
