Thx. I'm stupid happy with it. Black though, ugh. Oh and the suede seat inserts soaks up plenty of ass-n-back sweat as you're white-knuckle sliding sideways down rt 117 in the snowy dark, cursing mother nature for her cruel sense of humor.

Shut up you. Don't rain on my parade. tongue.gif So now ask me how much it sucked driving a new car thru the 4inch snow storm last night for hours. [ 30. January 2005, 10:49 PM: Message edited by: Mowgli ]

Were you the drunk driver?

Cool, what ATM machine, or bank I guess, lets you draw $400 in one day? I thought the per-day withdrawal limit was $200/$300. Am I behind the times? Anyway - I've found your best insurance against a search is a fresh haircut, sad but true.

Hey just saw your post. Welcome to the board and of course Stay Safe, Come Back Well, and Thank You for being over there. True about the insane vehicles. For instance, mine suffers from Bipolar Disorder.

+1 I always get a chuckle out of how desparate people are to trash the 03 Cobra. (A bit off topic: Watch this turn into the DSM "crankwalk issue" of the Cobra world. By that I mean this: I used to run into kids when I had my Eclipse who knew absolutely no real facts about them but the first thing out of their mouths was "have any problems with crankwalk?" Same with the Cobra, the sheer number of comments I hear that reveal absolutely no real knowledge of the car is amazing. Way more than my DSM even) [ 27. I like the newer model's interior more than our model. I also liked the 05 concept car I saw at Kreiger and at the auto show. Its just in production life the 05 doesn't look as nice. I attribute it for me to two main things: 1 - the Wheels suck 2 - it rides too high (wheel well gap) Maybe the Cobra will fix those looks issues?

Thats how I believe those two questions are correctly answered. But putting those two aside and going at the we thing, if by we you mean us in Ohio I beleive we are low probability for a terrorist nuclear strike. But in an all out exchange with the former Soviet Union where-in we're blanketing the entire globe with tens of thousands of nuclear detonations, it really doesnt matter where you are sitting. So the Ohio "we" are safer now. If by we you mean the royal we as in humanity, then we're still better off with a couple nukes going off as opposed to the entirety of the world's land masses being turned to glass. Now going back to your yes answer to your first question (which I don't agree with but humoring the supposition) - the "whole shebang" is several orders of magnitude smaller today than it was mid/late eighties. Much less bang for the buck now if we light off the whole box of wax. Who knows, maybe Australia would pull thru. Damn Aussies. But I agree with your other premise: more congestion and crowding means more aggression. And thats why we gotta go to Mars....

Will terrorist attacks end the human race? No. Will Global Thermonuclear War end the human race? Yes. End of paper.

Please tell me that was sarcasm.

The gas guzzler tax is already on the 05 CTS-Vs, I imagine it'll be on the SRT8 also unless Chrysler secures some sort of new model exemption period for it ala the 04 CTS-Vs. I like the 300s but they're a little too portly for me.

Hmm - thats a scoop if its true. Mustang Source huh? I'll go check SVTPerformance and the SVTOA to see if folks have more info. BTW he meant COBRA as in the car not CORBA as in the exhaust.

OFP = Operation Flashpoint. I guess the closest thing would be Battlefield2, but its not run n gun. Its realism^n You can pilot/drive/ride/man just any position in any vehicle you see. 50km by 50m maps. Massive numbers of infantry, armor and air assets can be engaged at once. Hows this for size: I have one scenario (Fulda Gap-like) I built where there is roughly: 2 Apache flights, 3 UH1 flights, 3 tank companies (thats 3 platoons each, 4 tanks to a platoon, 4 men to a tank) of M1s and reserv M60s. Eight+ companies of mechanized infantry (thats roughly 50 men per with accompanying M113s and Bradleys etc), several platoons (8 to 12 men per) of airborne in UH60s, and support assets like artillery, A10s, repair, evac, etc on the US side. On the opfor side (russian) there was roughly double that. All in one massive battle spread over about a 10 sq kilometer FEBA. Try being an infantryman in on that battlefield. The game itself continues to be updated and has a huge following - goto www.ofpec.com A quick screen: http://files.gotf.net/images/screenies/phcloseup.jpg

Snow's not so bad. Snow, slush, salt, and ice on roads sucks

"Step up" to AA? How about taking an escalator... up to OFP.

Counterstrike is different from all other fps games out there because of their netcode. If you're having a hard time at it its not because you suck its because its different from what you'd intuit. A quick tip - shoot BEHIND enemies. The hitboxes in CS:S lag behind where you're seeing an enemy because of how they implemented their client side prediction. Again, unlike every other fps game out there (tribes, JO, UT, Quake, Doom, OFP, GR, etc etc etc). Yeah CSS is whacked. Also remember the spray rises more than it spreads sideways - so aim at their heads and as you unload your clip pull slightly down. Also, if you're a broadband user and get on a server with a sub-50 ping, then goto the console and type these in (in any order): rate 25000 cl_cmdrate 101 cl_updaterate 101 cl_cmdbackup 101 fps_max 500 You'll be amazing how much you start connecting hits. smile.gif Folks wanting to catch me in CSS I'm on the Columbus Intrigue server most nights. Mowgli on there. "Shoot" me a hi.

Sorry, bullshit. I know you hate mustangs and all, but no. I've read all there is on that truck. It is impressive for a truck. But I can't find one single performance stat that beats the Cobra. I suppose the closest stat is its static skidpad Lateral G at 0.9 (advertised) - close, but doesn't beat the Cobra. And that avoids talking about its f/r weight bias liabilities in manuevering - slalom and transitions. The Big brake cooling system might mean its brake fade will do better than most sport trucks, yeah, and that is pretty trick. But the Cobra's brakes are already proven in the last three years of real world reviews to never fade, period. Other than those two capabilities, as an engineer I don't see this truck coming even close (0-60 in almost 7secs?). There's several vehicles that outperform the Cobra from the factory, but that spastic-plastic-clad pickup (Grand Am disease anyone?) ain't gonna be one of them. If you're buying one, PM me as soon as you feel comfortable tossing it about, and we'll go run em on any road you choose. I'd be happy to have my outhandled ass handed to me. [ 21. No. My last car was a 1999 Eclipse GSX I bought new and loved. The EVO and WRX are just too small for me. Eh. I aint buying crap in this weather. Most likely come spring if this winter keeps up like this. Harry's right, I had pretty much settled on a CTS-V but wanted to make sure I wasnt missing something obvious or even unobvious. ...damn 2006 500hp rumors still nagging me...
