or load up the tire i.e. get the car at ride height by jacking under the control arms on both sides. this loads up the suspension and should bring the bar closer.. but like he said take it off the endlinks and mount to the frame first.
Jim's car should be fun if he gets some sticky tires on there.. hopefully he can pickup where i left off with that kit.. Good job tonight Brian it was good seeing ya.
htrz--cheap junk
htrz2-cheap decent but discontinued
htrz3- cheap beating bridgestone- yoko and other big names in tires rack testing
htr+-cheap h,v,w rated all season decent traction alot of people happy with them for the price
could be as simple as a lifter or as shitty as a rod knock/timing tensioner... checked junkyards/ebay yet? might be your better bet if you can pick one up for a grand or so.
yeah i bought the fronts like last march and they probably went like 400 miles on my car and then sat in a bunch of people's garages. the rears are currently a 26" tall tire so you're not gaining any height with a 26" slick. you'd be amazed those radial t/a in 275-50 grip very decent for an all season and are fairly wide to boot
