  1. From almost everyone. People knew we we're doing it beforehand due to the silly backwards rules of Alabama matrimony, but they didn't know we did it so long ago.
  2. The secret is that we have been married for almost 3 months. We did it at the little chapel on High in the Brewery district. Things haven't changed that much. We did the whole ceremony/reception thing for our families.
  3. I'm not sure back adjustments are my calling.
  4. For the amount of money we spent (very little), we couldn't have asked for more. We stayed in a million dollar beach condo for 10 days, my family was put up in a family friend's country club vacation home, her parents provided all the food, alcohol, bartenders, for all the guests, not to mention the location for the reception in their home, also on the water. All planned in 6 months and at a cost to us of next to nothing.

  8. Not to mention the fact that if you buy a last generation laptop, you don't get a discount for upgrading to the current one... (or a car, computer, TV, etc.) It is simple business, the initial cost is subsidized and passed along to the consumer through the astronomical monthly fees we get to pay. If they haven't collected the revenue to off set the subsidy why the hell would they give you a new phone and incur even more risk. Entitled tech geeks are as bad as welfare recipients.
  9. Even though I am waiting for the parts to repair my poor iPhone, I still love it.
  10. Desperate times. The cracked screen issue is beyond common. The repair from Apple is $200. The DIY repair with OEM china shipped parts is $30 including the glass, digitizer, tools, adhesive, the middle frame, and shipping. It would have been an easy fix had my heat gun not harnessed the fires of hell. I am sure I am not the first CR member to DIY this, I thought someone might have the parts on hand.
  11. I am in the process of replacing my broken glass, during the step called: "Heat the screen for 3 or 4 minutes to loosen the glue" they dont tell you that doing so may melt the shit out of your home button. Nice. I need a "middle frame" meaning the plastic frame that the LCD and glass mount to along with the home button. If anyone is delaying repairing theirs (as I did for a while) and wouldnt mind waiting until next week when mine gets here from ebay, I will hug you. Or feed you beers.
  12. This made me laugh... It was a joke right?? Updates?
  13. Be a member of a gym or country club and you'll always have a shower to turn to.
  14. You mean they are stuck in 1974?
  15. Sounds good. Ill make a donation to the CR coffers for the privilege. What kind of amplification did you use at the show? CR saves the day!
  16. My wedding is in 10 days. It is a 30 person beach wedding so we are not spending money on a DJ. The music will be controlled by a NAS drive/Sonos unit/and an iPhone. Fancy. The problem is that I don't have a powerful enough speaker setup to get these 30 people dancing. I need to rent this from a CR member or company. Who knows someone or some place? The irony is that I work for Progressive Audio where we have 30k speakers all over the place. 1. Im not transporting this kind of speaker to Gulf Shores, Alabama. 2. Audiophile speakers aren't exactly what I need to make this work.
  17. The distended intestines start at the beginning of 06. I would venture that he began a regular HGH cycle around this time.
  18. I went through the same thing on my HUD. I ended up putting 10k into escrow the day before closing. Since the home had no carpet and a the bathroom was a mess, National City wanted to ensure that they wouldn't be underwater if I foreclosed before completing the work. They held the cash until I could prove that the work was completed which took about a month. It wasn't the ideal situation to have investment money tied up in a non interest generating account, but it ensured a timely closing.
  19. Doubtful, He is as vested in the income as she is. In fact he would likely get spousal support as her book tours and speaking engagements account for a significant portion of the income.
  20. It is TLC's highest rated show. They are paid $50,000 an episode. I half believe it is all manufactured drama to increase viewership...
