  1. Christ... I paid $200 for my mattress AND boxspring.
  2. Ronnie was at the OSU steak and shake last night
  3. They have a competition for lightweights this year?
  4. exactly correct. I know a good deal about DSMs obviously and I still paid above the Edmunds (more accurate) retail price on my most recent purchase. I am still quite sure that I got a deal on it as well. $3000 is not uncommon for a clean, Running, Correctly modified 90. The turbo alone is worth more than the KBB quoted value. (PS. a Sleeper 16g is a 20g wheel in a standard stock mitsu compressor housing). Add the fmic, the BR FP regulator ($300), the SAFC, etc and you could part it out for much more than 3k. Obviously the kid isnt ignorant and understands that he wont get what he put in... but the price already reflects that. If you have a legit offer, the phone number is there. I dont recommend calling him with $810 though.
  5. If your diction was as bad on the info you gave him as it was in the above post, he probably wont be able to get ahold of you either if he wanted to. If you dont call the police, you should always always always get the info off the person's license Along with the License plate number. If you didnt, then you can chalk it up as an expensive learning experience
  6. Ill be there. I just looked at prices for the Actual Arnold Classic at vets memorial... $50 bucks for a basic seat, no thanks.
  7. Sony non projection CRTs are top notch. The rear projectors, not so much from what Ive heard. You will be happy with either of those. Remember also, Everything is negotiable. You can easily talk them down a few hundred and add in free shipping if you are good.
  8. It is a good car. I know the owner.
  9. I forgot about the heating crap... It was always too hot or too cold for me. Waterbeds are hell.
  10. Im interested, but your price is crazy. You can get a brand new, Warrantied, 2.2ghz, full featured Dell notebook... with a free printer for 200 bucks more.
  11. I know 3 kids with the 46h84 all of whom have had no problems. All rear projection tvs will need adjustment as soon as you get them home. If you are daring and mechanically adept, as most of us are... you can buy the convergence point alignment CD and do it yourself. It makes a big difference. cnet has good tv reviews.
  12. Water beds are horrible for your back. I had one from age 13 to 19.
  13. With that price range you are looking for a CRT projection screen. Meaning the style that has been around forever. Dont count it out though. IMO, they look amazing now as compared to the old non HD compatable ones. Ive been looking in the same price range as you for a long ass time. A while back Best buy had one that I almost completely rationalized. The next day when I had decided to do it, the price jumped three hundred bucks. So it goes. This shows you what best buy has. I plan on getting the toshiba 46h84 when they lower the price again. If you can rationalize the extra cash the 51 inch version, aka the next one down, is a good set as well. Stay away from RCA, Akai, and most american makers. You can check out the HDTVforums at www.HDTVoice.com for actual experiences. (I swear there is a forum for everything.)
  14. Fasting is the absolute worst idea ever. Muscle tissue is much more bioavailable as a source for energy than fat. He will lose any muscle mass that he has all the while slowing his metabolism to a crawl. When he starts eating again, he will gain it back and probably more. If he is dead set on fasting, there is a modified fast that is proven to maintain muscle tissue while melting the pounds away, but it is absolute hell. It is called PSMF (Protein Sparring Modified Fast) aka Protein Strictly Mother Fucker. Ive told DJ a bit about it in preparation. In summary, you set protein at 1-1.5g/lbm depending on activity, some fiborous veggies, and 6 fish oil pills a day. This takes calories to roughly 1000-1300 for most people. He should plan to refeed after 8-14 days, the fatter he is the longer he can go. It is very hard to stick to. Think - Starvation. It has an impact on cognitive function, and basc motivation to live. Most people cave after a few days/hours. The kid should just start hitting the gym and eating clean. Chances are he has an addictive personallity and will find addiction in improving himslef.
  15. You should so part that thing out.
  16. I'm hillarious but can't obey the rules.* *fixed. [ 03. March 2005, 04:32 PM: Message edited by: iwishiwascool ]
  17. Cardio is the best way to lose weight fast, for most people as it (usually) creates a calorie deficit. Creating a calorie deficit after being used to eating X amount of calories per day is, franky, too hard for a majority of people. Most often cardio only weight loss is at the expense of muscle mass. The ultimate cutting regement includes a balance between heavy lifting, interval training cardio, and a very clean diet. Hopefully DJ will be starting my "Phase II" soon in which he will literally shed pounds if he can stick with it.
  18. I didnt take it personally. http://www.columbusdsm.com/forum/images/smilies/thumb.gif Im actually about to PM you a question.
  19. PS, Im no where near certified. Im just a desk jockie with a calculator that tells sales reps what interest rate to charge from time to time.
