the governor of Louisiana? lol...maybe i just watch too many national political news programs truth. you guys are getting terrified of the word "discuss". if he does nothing, he pisses off the left. if he does something, he pisses off the right. its politics. you can't win, you can only *try* to appease both sides heres my prediction here, lets discuss this issue since its become a hot topic lately *has discussions until issue calms down a bit* *sits on a desk until the paper withers away* remember, this is a president that has said firearms should be permitted in national parks and amtrak trains. everyone on the right wasnt too upset with his stance then, were you?

change plans for a new phone? i am on the same plan i signed up for 5+ years ago when i had a basic flip phone. i dont think it even had a camera on it. then i got a razr after 2 years, and when i got my HTC incredible in july, i just added the data plan. same basic plan though, 450 min, 500 out of network texts, unlimited in calling/text, and its $39.99/yr. they *may* have changed the name of it, but its still the same thing go into the store and let them deal with it...2x when i went in (once for my razr, 2nd to renew my plan and get my g/f an env2) and they tried to say "oh, your old plan is no longer available, we have to put you on this more expensive plan", i basically told them fuck that, im not switching plans and if they couldnt keep me on it, i wasn't going to change anything or buy a new phone. AMAZINGLY they were able to keep it

12ga! its fun to shoot.

its my grandpas gun...he bought it off one of the other guys at the turkey shoot we used to go to and i worked (running targets, cleaning up shells) saturday mornings when i was like 10-12. but yeah, its pretty necessary. if you ever go to one of the shoots, on a 15 man line, 12+ (if not more) of them will have them that long, and they're choked way they fuck down. i *wanna* say like .620" (turkey choke is .660), but for some reason, .580 is also popping into my head. but basically, you're shooting at like a 6x9 cardboard target thats 30 yards away, and theres 2 crossed lines, and its closest BB to the X. with my 870, 28" barrel and turkey choke, i was happy to put 50 BBs on the card. with that gun, its not hard to put 200+, and this is shooting either 7.5 or 8 shot head up to the turkey shoot one morning and check it out...its on agler road just outside of gahanna (east of stelzer rd) at the achbar grotto. get there early (7am) if you want to shoot competition early and not have to wait until later in the day. later people usually have to wait until the second rounds which might be 1030...practice starts at 8, you can get 3 shells and a target for $1 (last time i was there a couple years ago. i doubt its much more now), and money rounds start at 9. you can do regular lines, 15 man, like $1.50 or $2 to get on, win $10 or a couple other prizes, $5 money shoots, 9 man line, $25 1st, $10 second, $10 money shoots, $50 first, $20 second (IIRC), some lines you pay $3 or so and win a huge roast, or some big boxes of bacon, etc. they do it all for charity and everything extra after they pay for supplies and shit goes to it. just bring your gun, gun rest if you want (theres 2x4 cross bars you can set one on)...ammo is provided for each round, and you cant use your own

lol...when my girlfriend used to actually go to the gym, we'd be working out and she would always complain, and then went into talking about "you dont want me to turn into one of those nasty muscle girls do you?"...i told her id make sure she slowed down before she got there, but that was a LONG time away.

if i remember this week, i'll call my girls grandpa...hes one of the gunsmiths for vances (except he goes in and picks up guns to take them home to work on them), and he has a guy that can do it...i had my grandpas turkey shoot gun blued, and that thing has a ~52" barrell

That an island must have electrical? Fuck that. the only way to get electrical there is to rip up the floor and try to cut my subfloor panels to get wire under them, and thats not happening.
-
dont worry jones, i got this one for you!

i actually did not want to permanently set it into the floor...part of the whole kitchen remodel was to knock down that wall and open it up, so when i have family over for thanksgiving, christmas, etc, we could put a couple fold out tables end to end and be able to have a family dinner. before the wall was gone, my main level had the kitchen and living rooms, both of which were about 13x22 or so. now i pretty much have one big open area, but the living room and kitchen are still distinguishable. but i want to be able to slide the island over to a side wall temporarily if i ever want/need to. if i set it in there and dont have the ability to move it, i pretty much eliminate one of the biggest reasons i remodeled the whole kitchen im not worried so much about the granite breaking.
-
theres a little bit more to the right, but not a lot...where that counter ends and you see the light switch socket, right next to that is a 32" door, then wall. on that wall just past where the door opens, i have 2 42" wall cabinets stacked ontop of each other to make a pantry...theres more pics here if it helps you picture it. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79832&page=2&highlight=kitchen+remodel

you added one to many there, ke$ha.

some of you may have followed the thread when i remodeled my kitchen...well, i have 2 extra 21" base cabinets i planned on using for an island/eating area. we never really used a kitchen table, and dont have one currently, so im probably going to go with something i can put a couple bar stools under so if i have guests, they have somewhere to sit down in the kitchen the help part im curious about, is how far do you think i could put for an overhang on the "back" side of the cabinets? they're standard depth (25.5"), and will have about 1" overhang on the front where the drawers are, and probably 1/2-1" on each side...should i be ok with up to a 12" overhang? my thinking with that is that about 67% of the weight of the stone would be supported by the cabinets, and 33% would be completely unsupported. would it look odd if i went a little bit more (14-15") and just used an expandable stainless steel pole at the edge but in the center of the overhang? my buddy in pittsburgh used one of these poles for his penninsula/island type counter, and it doesnt look horrible. obviously i dont want to be able to lean on the counter for any reason and have the whole cabinet/counter fall back the opinion part, would it look better if i went with a straight rectangle (lets say it'll be 44" wide and ~38" tall) with slightly rounded corners, or if i did a big rounded edge for the seating area? something like this, but more rounded...this was just a quick sketch http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/0000.jpg?t=1296607599 and a picture of the kitchen right after the granite was installed http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/IMG_3269.jpg?1274935004
