    HP - BS.

a little over a year ago (end of oct, 09), i bought a brand new hp g60. has done anything i need it to, which isnt much, so its more than sufficient. ive always been good to charge it, then run it off battery, and not to leave it plugged in all the time when using it a couple weeks ago, i get a red X over my battery icon saying "consider replacing your battery"...go to the hp website, find out how to go into support assistant, do a battery check, and its telling me "based on the charge capacity of your battery, it has reached the end of its useful life. you should replace the battery at your earliest convienence" REALLY? a 15 month old computer that gets moderate usage has a shitty battery already? are they serious? and of course, this happens 3 months after the manufacturers warranty is up. fml.
  3. yeah, i sent my g/fs friend a message asking her and she said its only current staff/students. oh well.
  4. Tell her to eat a dick and if she wants to be like that, you wont pay shit...its gonna take her a number of months to evict you, youve already got everything with your house done, or will be done well before the time she gets an eviction, and by then you should be in your house
  5. you're probably gonna run a lot quicker than me. lol. but ill probably take you up on that offer. any idea how long the track is there?
  6. i looked into this rike center thing, and it looks pretty sweet...it says "Entry Rules - All current Cardinal Card holders may use the Clements Recreation & Fitness Center and Rike Center. Entrance to both Centers is gained by swiping a Cardinal Card at the Clements Recreation Center front desk followed by admittance by the Recreation Assistant on duty. It is important that everyone present their card or admission may be denied. Guest Policy - Any member of the Otterbein community who has an active Cardinal Card may bring one "non-family" guest into the Clements Recreation & Fitness Center or an unlimited number of "family-members". The guest(s) will be registered under the card holder and is expected to abide by the same rules and regulations. The card holder must be present with his or her guest at all times." so, my question is, any idea if all alum have this "cardinal card" or is it just for current students and staff? and since it makes it seem like the 2 centers are connected, if i were able to find some way to get in to this place, can i mosey on over to the track at the rike center or is there a check point of some sort between the two that would limit guests to just the clements rec center?
  7. no problem man...as much as i like winter, i guess thats one thing that blows is i cant go run around my block (~.5 mi)...
  8. yeah, ive heard that too...i just dont want to get into that habit of "ok, gonna set this at 7.5mph and do my 1.5mi in 12:00" and then get on the ground and have no idea if im on pace to hit that mark. if i can run on a track and eventually outside and time myself and know what it should feel like to get to that point...plus, a treadmill wont take into account that theres probably going to be periods in my run where im going slower or faster than the pace i need to be at.
  9. yeah, im a new runner...trying to get used to running and propelling myself forward (ie, not the treadmill) first...once it warms up a bit, ill probably be ready to start running outside.
  10. im not looking for any indoor tracks, im looking for some with something more than ~100-125m...do all those have this? i know "any ymca" doesnt
  11. i dont know anyone at either...hmm. i wanna find something...i hate the track at gahanna.
  12. what places have indoor tracks that arent super short? im trying to start running, for a couple possible employment opportunities i may have or am interested in going for, and just to get into shape a bit more... i go to the gahanna Y, and its a small track, constantly turning and cant get a straight away thats more than ~15-20m or so. ...its 17 laps for 1 mile...not to mention, it circles the whole work out area, and theres 2 main areas people cross it to work out, and can get in the way...and its hardly wide enough to fit 2 people so passing is sometimes a PITA...someone said the one off karl road is longer, and when i just called, he said it was 13 laps for a mile. i cant find anything on the Ys website that tells the distance of the tracks of any of the gyms im not really expecting an indoor 1/4 mile track, but something a little longer would be good. im not interested in the treadmill because i can set it on a speed and know im going to hit my target...i want to be able to get to the point that i can hit my target not knowing until im done.
  13. i know...but they still have internet in hawaii, right? lol
  14. im no doctor, but it'd probably be more beneficial to see if you have something like a degenerated disc my mom works for a chiropractor on the NE side...hes been president of the central ohio chiropractors association, and then president of the ohio state chiropractic association...he knows his stuff...Farabaugh Chiropractic...its on 161 between cleveland and rt 3, on the south side of 161...right on the service road...898-1944. if you talk to brenda, tell her evan sent you. but im sure if dr. rick showed up again he'd probably talk some shit. lol
  15. xray wont really show soft tissue like a disc. you'd need an MRI for that. it showed my bulging disc pretty clearly when i had it done about a year and a half ago.
  16. that was cool...didnt think i would watch it all but i did
  17. just to elaborate (i was still waking up earlier when i posted) ive got the M&P 9c. love it. carry it quite often (keltec when i just want to put something in my pocket and go)...had a local smith work the trigger down to 4.25-4.5# with a more distinguished reset than factory, polished feed ramp, crowned barrel, trijicon night sights. the thing that sold me was the interchangeable back straps. i think they had a large on it when i tried it in the store and i about put it back and he said "hold on, let me go get the other backstraps"...i think ive got the small on now and its great. i had a springfield XD SC at the same time, shot good but just wasnt a huge fan of it, and i sold it, bought a glock 26 right...couldnt get over the hump on the grip of the glock...just didnt feel right, so i sold it. i dont think i'd ever get rid of my M&P. might buy something else later, but this one is a keeper.
  18. You had a S&W sigma...your opinion doesnt count. Lol...The M&P is a much better gun. I love my 9c
  19. might have to check this out...been trying to get back into running lately...i finally bit the bullet and used the dr. scholls machine at meijer and spent the $50 or so on the insoles. ive been running (on the track...way different than the treadmill. lol) and a trainer at the gym gave me an exercise for shin splints, and its not been so bad yet. been doing 5 min jog, 1 min walk...did this 3x 3 times a week last week, and this week its 4x 3 times a week. next week 5x 3 times a week. i wouldnt mind some new shoes though.
  20. Thatd be cool if his son was babysitting a 14 year old. Lol
  21. Our local pool in gahanna hired me at 14...i also worked at kroger...theres some kids who work at the ymca that dont look much older than 15ish but who knows. Meijer, i didnt think donatos went that low when i worked there but thats been 5+ years
  22. molson is way better in canada. i was in windsor and had quite a few molson ices. they tasted SO good. but yuengling doesnt transport beer from PA to FL. from what i heard from a couple people in FL (and this could all be horse shit, who knows)...anheuser busch tried to sue yuengling over the similarities of their logo (the eagle), and yuengling basically told them, look idiots, we're the oldest brewery in the country, and to settle out the lawsuit, they took one of AB's breweries in FL. thats how FL has yuengling now.
  23. Read up a bit..you can get it at some grocery stores and gas station as of like june-ish...it started just before i went out in august Beer stores are much easier though since theres no limit for single purchase...i went into onea couple years ago and bought like 13-15 cases at once. Brought 11 or 12 home
