ive been to OVO and i refuse to spend money there on anything but range time. they were trying to sell a 100pk of WWB (cheap 9mm ammo, 18$ at walmart) for 33$. fuck them if you feel like making a drive up here, we can stop at vances, ill show you what you want to get, then we can take a drive about 30 min north and shoot a few rounds of skeet/trap so you can shoot it. ive probably even got enough old 12ga ammo you wont need to buy any (if not, its only 4$/box) i can bust out my old remmy even in its rusted beat up state for a few rounds

trust me, you dont want a mossberg. by wingmaster, do you want the fancy engraving and gold leaf on the gun and the shiny barrel? do this.. go to vances, pick up a remington 870 (<300$ after tax), spend 35$ on some truglo fiber optic sights (2 piece. green U and orange rod. sit right on the rib). make sure you get the barrel with the matte finish. reason i say this is if you're out in the field, marsh, etc, you dont want a blued finish on a gun that will reflect the sunlight and make you stick out like a sore thumb.

lol. probably wouldnt be hard to see the target if/where it hit if shooting through grass though, right?

i hear because the round is so small and flys so fast, if it hits something such as a blade of grass, it'll decimate the round

i would do that if you're going to pay it. go cash in your 300$, remove all of it from the wrappers, and put it into a pillow case. take it in, dump it out, tell them you need the case back with the luck it sounds like you have though, they'll make you wait there until its all counted out

i want to pick up a .17. i woulda got one this year to shoot groundhogs at my grandparents place (fields behind their property farmers love you to shoot varmints. shoot off the back porch) but the farmers had corn this year. when its soy again next year, and i can see them in that shit, ill pick one up and have a blast.

lol. now im excited. haha my favorite parts from the first season DVD is the kid's gangsta rap and when doug and andy were sitting there and asked the maid "whats the thing between the dick and the asshole?" and she said "the coffee table" HA!

just to bump i had gotten some arch supports right around when i posted this. along with running with those, i started doing some calf raises and leg presses. this week i started running in the morning before work, which seems a little easier as well this morning i did 2.2mi in under 18 minutes. i had like 4 songs on my ipod that i knew would last about that long, ran at 7.0 for about 3 min, 7.2 for another 3 min, 7.4 about 3:30, 7.5 for about 3:30 and finished at 7.6 for just over 4 min. i haven't needed to ice my shins or take any pain relievers for the last couple weeks. i ran wednesday, today, and if i can get my lazy ass out of bed before the game tomorrow, im going to run in the morning as well.

anyone watch this? i got a guy at work kept talking about how great a show it is. i guess he's got seasons 1-3 on DVD. finally after a few people ahead of me borrowed it, I got it today. popped in the DVD's at 530 and watched all 10 episodes tonight. now i need to go get the next 2 seasons because i dont think i wanna wait another couple weeks for everyone else to watch them. great show! hell, i might have to have the woman add showtime to our cable. we never watch those channels, but might need to now.

maverick 88. avoid the mossberg 500 as well. ive shot 2 different ones, that the shell stop had failed on me. the 20ga wasnt a big deal as i was skeet shooting, but the 12ga i couldnt get off a second shot at the deer i was aiming at. heres what happened both times 1 in chamber, 2 in tube. take first shot. pump the slide, slide stop released the shell too early, so when the arm came down to get the shell, it knocked the live round straight to the ground, the stop caught the 3rd round, but when i racked the slide forward to what i thought was a loaded gun, i had nothing now if this happened on my dads 30 year old gun, i can see that happening. when it happened on my buddies fairly new gun of the same model, thats it for me. like i said, my 870 has never given me a single problem, and at the price they can be had, its hard to beat. maybe check out gander mountains used section. if you buy used, see what chokes they come with.

shouldnt have been on their property. lol and i'm pretty sure once you turn 18, you only have to say you've had a license in the past or taken the course, you dont have to furnish any proof...at least thats how it was when i worked at gander mountain ~6-7 years ago but nonetheless, if you havent been out in 10+ years, and not 100% sure what you're getting into, it wouldnt be a bad idea to take the course again. i dont believe it costs anything, but i could be wrong. it is like 12 hours though, but most places do it in like 3-4 sessions

ive been around shotguns my whole life, and shoot quite well. whats the point of hitting a bird flying through the air with a full choke, when it only takes 4-5 pellets to knock it down and kill it? you're just going to destroy whatever you're shooting. the point of opened chokes isnt to help a shitty shot, its to keep your target from getting mangled to shit not to mention, i like to take full advantgage of my 3 shots and hit 3 birds, cause you know theres no way in hell youre going to crack one off with that single shot and be able to reload and get another shot before those birds are well past the ~35 yard limit the gun will reach
