  5. his "recent" purchases, as in 2+ years ago? lol
  6. If i had a week off and someone to run sag for me, i would
  7. I would MUCH rather give my money/business to the company that offers me the lowest price to begin with. I'm not gonna give them my business unless they price match THEN take a % off.
  8. Well, I got a call from my Grandma who lives in FL for the winter, asked me to fly down the first week in May to drive her home. She'll pay for my flight and dinner and stuff, so it won't cost me anything except any spending money I want to use. Said I can fly in a couple days early and rent a bike if I want to. I went down last year in Feb and it was beautiful. FL is VERY cyclist friendly, and I got about 150 miles in over 4 days of riding. Less than I wanted, but I also hadn't ridden since October of 2011, and went end of February, so I wasn't in the best shape to go do some real rides. I'd like to do 150 over 2 days while I'm there this time. Will cost me about $60 to rent a carbon bike for 2 days, plus a few bucks for snacks for the ride to keep me going. Not a bad deal to get down to FL for 2 days, ride, and a car trip home from FL with grandma for maybe $75 out of pocket. Grandma is actually pretty fun to talk to though, especially politics since we're on the same page Now to find some group rides down there I can join in on.
  9. also, got signed up for TOSRV today. registered for the 2 day/210 mile ride since its the same cost as the one day. also ordered one of the sweet jerseys for this year. looks pretty awesome http://tosrv.org/00/shirts/13jersey3.jpg

  11. Probably not "99%", but i dont see as many as i used to. I definitely still see enough though. Maybe 25% - 30% are CPZs
  12. i know they're not out to say "HAY GUYZ, COME LOOK AT ME", but if you're gonna put it out on the road, there's no reason to try to evade someone trying to take pictures.
  13. makes cents. try to get away at high speeds vs letting them follow you on what i can only assume are public roads and take pictures. i think if GM didnt want anyone to see it, it wouldnt be on the road. amirite?
  14. im thinking this year of getting a small garden together. i just want to grow some blueberries, raspberries, maybe some banana and jalapeno peppers, and maybe a tomato plant or two. just enough for me, and maybe the occasional guests now i dont have a great yard, but i've got a good size patio, and was thinking of maybe building a box to set on the patio and fill with soil. is this a good/viable idea for what i want to do? if how much room/volume would i need to build this thing? what kind of soil should i use? i know i can buy bagged stuff, but i would think that could get expensive. should i put it in an area thats in the sun during the whole day? my back door faces north, so i can put it on the far edge of the patio and it'd have sun all day. anything else i should consider? and when would be the best time to start planting this stuff? thanks in advance. im sure there's a lot im missing, as i've never done anything like this, but would like to try my hand and have some good fresh produce. thanks in advance
  15. not unless i just need a few things real quick and dont feel like driving to my main place, meijer on hamilton. the stuff i tend to buy is usually cheaper there, and i've been shopping there for years.
  16. one at a time, thats all we can hope for right now
  17. +1 on everything said. I see it every time im coming home from the grocery store for the last month +
  18. Hay guyz, remember, if theres anything we learned from other cluster fucks in the media (aurora, sandy hook), its to make sure you believe and re-report everything youre hearing from reporters who are 20 miles away and have no fucking clue what is going on.
  19. Been thinking the same. i only watch a handful of channels, but what i do watch is news and stuff i want to watch real time, not days later. I have one hd dvr and hd pak, one digital dvr, and internet, and its $115/mo.
  20. my buddy flew to Boston for vacation thursday, went to CT to snowboard (for the first time, ever) friday-sun, and is going back to boston tomorrow to fly home. whats funny, is a year or two ago, he and his wife were supposed to go to pittsburgh to see another friend of ours. when i woke up (i sleep with the TV on), the very first thing i hear is "pittsburgh getting hit with the second worst snowfall on record". i called him and asked if they still went out, and he said he was there and they just got done spending hours snowblowing at our friends house. he has this odd penchant lately for traveling to places with record snowfall at that exact time.
