While more stock 4x4's may have a bit of wobble than is reported, it's mostly only reported in the stock Dodge's and lifted Ford's and Chevy's.
That aside, unless you REALLY use a 4x4, just buy a 2wd. with the way the used truck market is right now, your money will go A LOT further with a 2wd. In the past year I have used my 4x4 once on pavement, and that was to get over the snow bank that the snow plow creates at the entry to my driveway. With good tires, weight in the bed, and a locker, 2wd is just fine.
