65/35 it is. Lots of clinics have free and low cost microchipping days anymore. All my parent's dogs are chipped (4) all my sister's (2) and all my grandpa's (5), and well of course mine. My gf has multiple stories every week of someone bringing in a stray that they kept and she has to scan it and having to take the dog and call the owner. It's never a completely happy story, esp the one where the people had the dog for like 8 months and it was taken away from them. It's safer to just do it upfront, plus the right thing to do. I know a lot of shelters chip now too, with the shelter info on the chip.

not only that, but like I said if a veterinarian scans him and finds it, they take the dog from you on the spot. Imagine keeping the dog for a year and spending all this money on it just to have it suddenly taken away.

Why have you not taken him to get scanned yet? People put chips in their dogs for this reason. Just an FYI, if you were to keep him and took him to the vet and they scanned him, you do realize that they HAVE to take the dog from you and contact the owners and can only release the dog to them.

Keep him in the garage overnight and take him to OSU to get scanned for a chip in the morning. Hopefully he has one and you can contact the owners.

By looking at the tire grooves I am going to go ahead and say that your avalanche is fail due to lacking a locking rear end and 4x4

There is also an exotic vet in Reynoldsburg, cannot remember the name. there is also a guy in Worthington named Dr. Donn. He does a lot of holistic and exotics.

Yeah, they do a lot of orthopedic surgeries. My gf's clinic does like 4 surgeries a day, but where she works in Lancaster their prices are close to the Rascal Unit, but that is because their overhead is a lot lower than most places in Columbus. When the current owners bought out the orig. owner he donated the building and some of the older equipment to them allowing them to operate much more efficiently. But, with them being a 501© they get to pay a lot of their support staff out of donations, pay rent out of donations etc. If they had to rely strictly on revenues, they would never be able to make it with the costs that being in dublin creates. I am sure the rent on that building is 8-10k per month, and they have a staff twice as large as a 5 vet clinic.
