I have a Citori Sporter that my dad bought me for shooting an average 42/50 for a sporting clays season when I was in high school.
That said, I refuse to take an $1800 gun into the field.
I handled the Remington 870, the Mossberg 500 and the Browning at Buckeye Outdoors today. Neither of them compared to the quality of the Browning. I would say that most would be hard pressed to find anything near this quality in the price range ($250-500). The action is so smooth, it feels like you could work it with just 1 finger.
